    Rookie Redemption Wild Card???

    Hello everyone and good morning.

I bought a box of Artifacts last night, and I received a card that is a Rookie Redemption Wild Card.
Does anyone know exactly what this means, as to which player this card would be of? I am not sure how a Wild Card works.

    Thanks.

The make a Rookie Redemption card for each team, and then they do Wild Cards.

Normally what you will see is that the best rookie from each team is Rookie that goes with the team card, and then the best Rookies after you take away that 1-per-team will make up the wild cards.

As an example, Columbus has already had two rookies make their debut:

    Ryan Murray
    Boone Jenner

Only one of those guys will be the Columbus redemption, and I would expect that the other will be one of the wild cards.

WAY too early to know who exactly you'll get. Upper Deck usually releases the actual checklist sometime around late January / early February (if I remember correctly)

They used to release it that early. Last season I think we were deep into the playoffs before they finally announced it.

    2013-14 Artifacts Redemptions

Question for a more knowledgeable collector! I have been collecting for a while now but don't have a lot of experience with Redemption cards. I know they fall one per box in the new 13-14 Artifacts set so I wasn't surprised to find one but I did happen to pull a Rookie Redemption Wild Card. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if these are more valued/treasured by collectors than a regular team Redemption Card. Does a Wild Card mean when redeemed I have a shot at one of the any Rookie Cards in the 2013-14 Artifacts set or that they will be creating more based on the rookies this season who they do not have in the regular set? Any information people can provide will be very helpful.

They're extra rookies, they'll be making more as the season unfolds. Shouldn't be too hard to fill with the double-rookie crop..........

Thanks for all the information! So final question when would be the best time to redeem it? Right away? Wait a couple days? Weeks?

There's no right or wrong time, you won't see it until next July/August anyways.
