Get a First Look at the New Look of 2014-15 NHL® SP Game-Used Hockey from Uppe

The first hockey release of the 2015 calendar year will be 2014-15 NHL® SP Game-Used Hockey. The product is sporting a dramatic newly restructured box/case configuration (ten 5-card boxes per sealed inner case) and the checklist is studded with some truly amazing cards. Thanks to our partners at the NHL® providing previously unparalleled access to an array of game-used materials from many of the 2013-14 season’s most memorable and important games, SP Game Used hockey provides collectors with trading cards sporting relics that viably could be displayed in the Hockey Hall-of-Fame instead of a trading card product

Well I am liking the Supreme Patches/Skates/Gloves/Sticks and I like the Short Printed rookies. Never really felt regular rookies fit this set much.

I'll definitely be going after anything of the Wings Winter Classic.

RCs in last year's edition of SPGU were also SP'ed to the player's jersey #. See here.
Very similar with last year's product. Judging by the past, once we see actual content, it will probably be underwhelming and of course full of sticker autos.

Some very nice looking content in there. Going to be a festival for fans who had teams playing outside last year.

One curious note, and this is something I always notice due to bias, there's not a ton of Habs stuff advertised there - mention of Sekac autos and RC's, and the Beliveau gloves will be amazing...but that's all. Even the gallery on the Facebook page only shows a single card (Habs/Rangers Six Patch with some really odd player selection) - but we'll see what the checklist has for us.

Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Judging from UD1, Devils players Brunner, Henrique and Schneider had green swatches in the jersey cards so my guess is they will be the Devils represented in the SS set. Crummy game as a fan but will pick up one of Adam and Cory

I've never understood the "net skirt" cards. Sure they're pretty cool, I really wouldn't mind have a game used piece of net... but an Erik Karlsson net skirt shield patch? It isn't Karlsson's net, why put him on the card? Now the Jonathan Quick net skirt card makes more sense, but still... you could make a cool Arena card that the piece of net came from instead of tying it to a well known player.
One thing I know I'll love about this set is finally putting together a nameplate for Gormley!
