    Quick Prizm question

Could someone rank these for me in order of least to most rare or difficult to find?

    Blue
    Blue Pulsar
    Red
    Red Pulsar
    Prizm Prizms
    Green

    Thanks for your help.

You are also missing the purple cracked ice redemption. The pulsar are more rare then I suspect the Purple will be more rare then green, red and blue, Mainly you get three red, blue or green for each $25 blaster. Let say a hobby box cost $100 and you have 20 pack, to get three purple you need 25 empty foil pack so the cost to get 3 purple is $125. So cost 5X more. Also not everyone will bring these back to the LCS to get the redemption.

    Blue
    Blue Pulsar
are Wallmart exclusive, for each blaster you get a pack of three blue.

    Red
    Red Pulsar
Are Target Exclusive, for each blaster you get a pack of three red

    Green
are found in all retail, for each blaster bought at other chain store other then Wallmart and Target you get a pack of three Green

    Purple
These are only the 100 rookie cards and do not cover the base card like Green, Red and Blue does.
You get a pack of three cards for each 25 empty foil pack you bring back to your LCS from Hobby box only

Prizm Prizm are Hobby exclusive and come at 3 to 4 per box but also cover not only base and rookie but all insert set, even auto sets.

I can't speak about blue or red but I presume it's the same. In the blaster I bought, I had the three green and in some blaster you can get also one more green. Maybe in every 3 blaster you can get one in the regular pack.

Thanks for the post, Luke. Just two quick questions:

    1) Is Blue or Blue Pulsar more difficult to find?
    2) Is Red or Red Pulsar more difficult to find?

I don't think I have to worry about Cracked Ice, as I'm only chasing Robin Lehner. Looks like the Purple are only for rookies?

Here's how I would rank them based on availability and current appearances:

I don't believe there is a lot of difference between availability of any of the colors long term, short term there is definitely less of some showing up for reasons below.

Prizms - In all formats of wax. Easiest by far.

Blue Pulsar - Available in the Wal Mart Rak packs, cheaper than the blasters and being opened by more people right now.

Blue - WalMart Blasters....see blue pulsar explanation above.

Red Pulsar - Target Rak Paks , again cheaper alternative to the blasters and being opened more than the blasters.

Red - Target blasters - See red pulsar explanation above.

Green - All retail packaging....sounds easy but the reality is beyond walmart and target it's a very small piece of the pie.

Purple - Redemption program (RC's only). Might be tougher short term but long term probably about the same as the rest as the distributors will likely keep using what packs they have as giveaways whether they are all redeemed or not much like most other Panini redemption packs.

I believe the blues and reds are CURRENTLY tougher to find (than the pulsars) because of the price difference between Raks and blasters but overall think they are very similar quantities.

I have no way of knowing if the retail distribution model is the same across both countries, but here in AZ I have been seeing a typical store (if they get them at all) get one box of 12 rack packs and 2-4 retail blasters.

If we are talking about Target:

Four blasters = 4*3 "bonus" Red plus 1 Red and maybe 1 Green per Blaster = 16 Reds, 3-4 Greens
Twelve rack packs = 12*3 "bonus" Red Pulsar plus 1 Red every 3-4 rack packs and 1 Green every 6 packs = 36 Red Pulsar, 3-4 Reds, 2 Greens.

Same for Wal-Mart, but substitute Blue and Blue Pulsar.

I believe Wal-Mart and Target combined easily make up the majority of the retail distribution, so my guess is that Greens will be hardest to find, followed by Red/Blue, then the Pulsars.

    Just a guess, of course!

Forgot about the regular boxes of retail - one or two per store(?) - that are going to hit stores at some point. No pulsars in those, so that will bring the numbers closer together.

What other retail stores might they be to find the greenies?
