Marijuana Safer Than Alcohol
Interesting article, especially the violent crime statistics that show Alcohol is 40% responsible for all violent crime. Pot does not even register when violent crime is committed. I knew alcohol stats for violent crime were high, but not that high.

This is a no-brainer. Alcohol is a stimulant and stimulants enhance/magnify emotional tendencies while marijuana is a depressant. Back when I used to drink and smoke pot we had an ongoing saying that if someone was drinking and trying to start fights then all you needed to do was get them to take a hit off of a joint and they would forget all about what they wanted to fight over. It worked every time.

Alcohol is a depressant more than a stimulant.
Caffeine...nicotine...cocaine...those are stimulants.
But yeah, it is a no brainer.

Alcohol is far from a stimulant. It's a severe mood altering substance. For every good mood created from alcohol, there are a half dozen moods that go to the Dark Side.

More important than that...
Marijuana is SAFER than Cigarettes.
I'd have to be dumb to smoke cigarettes....I'd rather smoke a non-lethal, non-addictive plant such as Marijuana before that nasty, disgusting, foul-smelling, utterly repugnant tobacco crap.

I believe the addiction rate for marijuana is far far lower than cigarettes and alcohol....I read in a site that only about 10% of users become "addicted".
The reason I use quotation marks is because unlike cigarettes it takes a LOT of usage to become addicted, whereas cigarettes can become addictive from the get go.
BTW, I still have not heard of anyone overdosing on marijuana or getting any serious diseases from prolonged usage.
And the best part of marijuana?
It has medicinal purposes.
Everyone knows this and yet marijuana is still not widely accepted.
I said it before and I'll say it again.....the reason it's not widely accepted is solely due to MONEY.
Cigarettes and Tobacco in general make BILLIONS of dollars.
Who cares how many millions of people will develop cancer and other horrible diseases due to tobacco....it makes money!
And we all know that MONEY = GOD in the U.S.

I think everyone should stop arguing about what one is worse and just follow my advice. Don't do any of it, it's all junk

Marijuana is psychologically addictive.
Heroin, cocaine, alcohol, nicotine and caffeine are physically addictive.
The difference is that anything from fast food to shopping can be psychologically addictive.
