Any insight on Ernie Banks?

I have reviewed the TTM Manager for Ernie Banks. Looks like he used to sign, but the success rates have really dropped in the past year or two. Does anyone have any insight or advice in this situation? Too bad when someone falls off the grid!

For background, I already have Sandberg, Dawson and Fergie Jenkins. All are on separate ROMLBs, naturally. I'd like to get Ernie Banks and Billy Williams (I just put a ball in the mail to the latter about a week ago with fingers crossed after consulting the TTM manager).

Greg Maddux would also be great but he doesn't seem to be on the radar!

Some won't sign TTM but will sign at shows. I know he did a Tristar show earlier this year, if not late last year.

I sent a CYMTO Banks RC reprint orginal back back in 2010, I deployed for a year and the card showed up three weeks after I returned. I had counted the card as a loss but sometimes time is all that is needed.

Also, I found that some of the Legends will definately sign if you put a $10 - $15 donation with the "To" line blank, they can write in a charity of their choice..... WHICH.... is awesome because I get the checks back after processing and I have three with HOFs writing on them... double points!

Thanks for the reply. A year is a looong wait, but I'd still like to try. Did you recall where you sent your request? Did you use the Ernie Banks foundation address in Marina Del Rey? I've seen Ernie Banks at Dodger Stadium as recently as a year ago, but it seems like he still spends time in Chicago. Maybe he splits time winter/summer.
