I agree. I wish more HOF players aside from Doerr and Bunning signed for free or a nominal fee. I wonder if it's a coincidence that both players were admitted to Cooperstown through the Veteran's Committee. Perhaps they appreciate their enshrined status more than some of the others.

Molitor signs for free. Gillick, too. Lasorda as well. Just have to catch them at the right time. While $5 is not free, it's certainly worth it for Boggs.
