Chris Webber card from Walmart
Well, I dropped by the local Walmart Superstore today out of boredom and went to the little stand where all their sports cards are located
Checked out all the cards on display, saw a pack of 35 basketball cards for $1.99 that had Magic Johnson in it and bought it.
Pulled out the Magic, and 3 Chris Webber Fleer rookies.
Got triples of folks like Bimbo Coles prospects who never even made it to NBA.
sheesh!!
CAVEAT EMPTOR.... if you buy these types of packs, and expect to get a surprise, beware!! These packs are mostly filled with crappy cards.
I just wanted the Magic card...and got lucky enough to get the Webbers.
btw, who the hell is Yu-Gi-Oh, and why is it so popular

lakerswiz...it's amazing how much those cards go for! In fact, there was a convention in Santa Monica just a month or so ago, just for fans who trade Yu-Gi-Oh.

I went into a Wally World like a week ago and looked everywhere for cards. When I couldn't find them, I asked customer service where they kept them and they said they had stopped selling cards. Did you hear about the one Wally World (can't remember where it's at) is actually selling used cars now?

Iggy....Wally World, huh, lol
I wouldn't be surprised to hear WalMart is going into the car business.
They need to figure out more and more ways to generate profits to satisfy the shareholders of their Walmart stock.
Walmart is not only selling retail stuff, but has optometry clinics, and even podiatry clinics associated with their stores; and they are looking to get into the credit card business.
Anything to make a buck, I suppose.
Walmart family is one of the richest in the world.

There's a point where people just have to say enough is enough. I know I don't shop at Walmart, but I guess a lot of people do.

Iggy, Walmart is awesome when you're looking for bargains. It's esp. good for large families with limited income.
Walmart has such a large buying power that they get incredible bargains from their vendors.
This is why things seem so cheap at Wal-mart..but the same brands are more expensive at the K-Marts, Targets, etc.

When I want deals, I just go to Sam's Club. Prices seem good enough to me and then for the smaller stuff, the local supermarket chain is just as good. Other than that, I don't buy stuff that they sell at Walmart.

Those packs are tough to get anything good in, but gems can be found. I've gotten some good cards from those $9.99 boxes :)
