Graphing Red Sox after Game 4...
I just got back from a pretty good time graphing the Red Sox after Game 4 at Busch stadium. I will list who didn't sign first. Dustin Pedroia- only me and a young girl seen him, and we got to him at the same time. He signed her hat in gold sharpie, but quickly walked off as a crowd was quickly moving in. He left me hanging, but it's cool. It went to a kid, so I can't be mad. Me n Pedroia walked down a few stairs side by side and then hew sad gone. Lost in a sea of red. Koji Uehara also didn't sign, he had his hands full of bags. Also right behind him was Junichi Tazawa, also carrying bags. But no one else even noticed him, to busy with Koji lol. Ortiz, Napoli, Salty, and Nava all got golf carted over to the Westin. Shane Victorino said he don't sign outside of the stadium, but was super cool about it. David Ross said "it's getting late guys, I just wanna hop in bed. Not tonight"- ok lol...last out was Ellsbury, Breslow, and they had their security tell us they weren't signing. Gomes was with them as well... Now, on for who I DID get:
1) Ryan Dempster- he was super cool, made small talk and gave me a sweet spot, PRETTY autograph on a ROMLB!!! Thank you Mr. Dempster!! Class act all the way!
2) Jake Peavy- was with family, but signed for me and a few others. Made small talk as he signed while walking to the hotel. He signed for anyone that wanted it! Only downside- he hit us all with a side panel!! Oh well, it's still PEAVY!! Thank you Mr. Peavy!
3) Aaron "F****ng" Boone- super nice. I seen him before the game and asked, he said "I need to hurry up and get on set bro, but if I see you after the game, I got you". Fast forward to post game. Boone is coming out the gates (with 2 police escorts-really Booney? Lmao). I ask him, and he says "yeah man, not a problem" and signs my ball, sweet spot but a VERY ugly signature! It coulda been that he was wearing gloves, but wow! It's hideous! Thank you Mr. Boone! And I'm sorry, but the middle name stands! Us Boston fans are a forgiving bunch, but once you got THAT middle name, it NEVER leaves you. Just ask Mr. Dent lmao. Your a good dude regardless, and I thank you!
4) Al Hrabovsky- former Cardinals pitcher. Aka "The Mad Hungarian". He walked past us and I was the only one to recognize him. AND he made me walk like 3 blocks with him making small talk before he signed! He was kinda crabby, but was wearing a World Series ring so I was mesmerized! He signed it on the sweet spot, AND inscribed it "The Mad Hungarian" without me even asking to inscribe it. Then told me have a good night and be safe. Thank you Mr. Hrabovsky, and I apologize for startling you! You were fun!
And that is all I got. I heard that Pudge Rodriguez was by the players parking lot signing, but I didn't see it so I can't confirm it. HOWEVER, he WAS there, same spot, signing last night. I'm pretty sure the other graphers were telling the truth. Good bunch there tonite. Some it was OBVIOUS they do it for the money, but they didn't make a fuss. Last night was beyond obnoxious, glad to see a calmer side of Cardinal fans tonight. I'm not sure if I'll go tomorrow or not, but if I do I'm gonna try for Pudge. That would be an awesome end to my baseball graphing for the season. Man, I wish the season wasn't ending, I've had a blast, and my 2 year old LOVES it!! Good game, good graphing, no regrets! Happy graphing, and GO SOX!!!

If I were Aaron Boone in Boston, I would have at least 2 security guards around me at all times.

So I went back down to Busch Stadium, and I didn't get any Sox autographs...BUT I did venture over to the BaseballTonight trailers before they left town but after they finished filming. We are standing there for a few minutes, Schilling signed a few but stopped as I was next... Feeling bummed out, I stood there for a second hoping Barry Larkin would come out and sign. He exits his trailor, and just waves. They were not done putting luggage in their Suburbans so out steps Barry Larkin, and he heads right to us. Sure enough, he signs for the 5 of us standing there!!! He even shook my hand and made small talk!!! Wow!!! THANK YOU MR LARKIN!!! Class act all the way!!
