    Pack / Box Buying Superstitions?

Just got back from Target with a few rack packs of Prizm. I got snake bitten on the packs with no decent hits. I followed my usual superstitions: Don't buy the first pack on the rack - If enough there, always buy the 7th pack - Never buy two adjacent packs - etc...

Those are a few of my buying superstitions. I also choose boxes based on the serial number printed on the hologram seal. I look for boxes whose serial number ends in 17 or 15 (I can't remember why). Sometimes I feel like I got lucky. Sometimes, like today, I think, "I knew I should have picked the other pack / box!"

Who else has pack / box superstitions they follow? Now, I don't mean pack searching (i.e. lookingfor thick packs), rubbing or feeling. I also don't mean cherry-picking specific packs from 90's boxes which were notorious for placing hits in the same location in each box. I'm talking about illogical, nonsensical and silly reasons for choosing one pack / box over another.

Post your superstitions...unless, of course, one of your superstitions is that you can never share them...

When I first started buying packs I'd start at the bottom, work my way up, but never really had much luck. Now I just take from the top, no strategy involved, and I've actually started landing some decent hits from loose packs. And when I grab a box, I'll either let the shop owner or my wife pick for me, some of my best pulls have been picked by someone else.

Rack packs or anything hanging I always choose packs divisible by 3 (3rd pack on the rack, 6th, 9th etc.)

Boxes I always buy serial #'s ending in doubles when I can (11, 22, 33 etc), if no doubles I look for anything ending with 8 then with 5 and finally 3 then it doesn't matter.

Packs from open boxes, I don't buy packs from open boxes . Nope, not even the last pack rule either.

The sad part is I don't even know why I continue these superstitions, they've never worked for me yet in the pull department

When I want to buy a pack, I gave up choosing which pack and get the owner to pick it out for me, or a friend if there, so far so good!

Dating back to my pokemon days, I always picked packs from the bottom or a few rows from the bottom of the box. That is where I got most of my hits and still do. I definitely mdont like picking the packs on the very top, it has never really gotten me anything

Start of every leaf season constitutes 1 box purchase. I open top row of packs while watching HNIC promos. Then 1/3 of the box each intermission.

Always let the LCS owners pick them. Way better hits when they do it.
