Duck Vs Penguins - On In 5 Minutes
This has all the makings of one of the best games of the year. Ducks are playing to almost their full potential, Pens coming off a few smarting losses in their last 5, and have a fortress to defend.
This should be a good one.

Ducks with a huge jump. Have out-hit the Pens 7-2. Orprik has been knocked down twice.
Ducks 7 shots on goal to 0.

First period comes to a conclusion. It really started opening up. Pens get 3 shots on goal in the last 2 minutes of play. Bennett with a breakaway, but ham-fists a beautiful Crosby pass.
Ducks continue offensive pressure, and out-shoot the Pens 12-3. Orpik and Beauchemin both looking too old and slow for this game. They simply cannot keep up, and both beaten badly twice.

What a very strong 1st period by the pens! At least the 4th line looks good. Pens did not get a shot on goal until 2 mins left in the period PATHETIC PATHETIC PATHETIC!!!

They were actually given a shot on goal by that Bennett miscue where he barely moved the puck into the pads of Fasth who'd was already below the goal line. They really only had 2 shots on goal.
Malkin is skating around the perimeter of the ice showing his figure-skating cross-overs. He needs some pine.Last edited by centrehice; 11-18-2013 at 11:09 PM.

Pens up the tempo and get a couple of good chances early in the 2nd. Ducks fore-check and come roaring back with a few of their own. The game is moving faster now than most of the first period, something has to give, too many missed assignments by both teams. I hope the first goal is a good one, and the game does not go to a horrendous shootout.

Pens get on the board with 2 in 3 minutes. Both, and their 3rd goal all from innocuous looking plays. Getzlaf answers in between, but this game is going to be won by the Pens who have been given better goaltending from Fleury than Fasth has provided.
2 of the Pens 3 goals could have been stopped, Fasth seemingly in a coma and appeared not to see any or them. Big edge to Fleury on the night.
