Postage Going up
People at the post office say that the price of a stamp is going up in Janruary.
How much postage does everyone put on there TTM's?
I am usually sending 2 cards, 1 top loader, 1 piece of paper for LOR, and 2 envelopes. At my local PO theres to different people at the counter one says a standard stamp on each envelope is fine. But the other says i need 2 ounce stamps, not cause weighs that much, but since it has to go through as a flat it needs the extra postage. What does every encounter?

For ROMLB submissions - which is all I have ever done - I have been putting six forever stamps on my SASE and have not encountered any issues yet.

I have sent a couple cards out this year to get signed and the post office where I live charges .67 for each envelope...Then what the clerk does is stamp the envelope as non machineable so that way it does not get sent through the sorting machines....Ed

I am going to sound like the old guy here, but I miss those 23 cent stamps. It literally used to cost half as much for requests as it does now. Then again they were not forever stamps. Who remembers those horrible 2 cent stamps the post office used to sell to add to your old stamps to cover their increase. Seems like every year I am picking up rolls before an increase.

I just send letter, SASE, cards inside a long envelope(#10 I think) I feel no need for toploader. Waste of time. I send one stamp on each and have never had trouble. Plus I put myself as the return on my SASE so regardless it should come back to me. I'll pay extra postage if need be.
