Nobody Collects These Players - Master-List
I have always thought about a Hobby Wilderness Collector's List. Here's who I have at the top, and whomever you want to add who's collecting activity is Grim at best. This list is in Random Order. Many are first rounders, a couple first overall.
Now many are going to dispute my list, but I am not talking about 1/1 cards here, or #/10 or #/25. I am talking about their non-acceptance in the Hobby, especially the cards produced while they were Active, and many scarce cards out there, that simply do not move in general, in trade, sale or even given away.
Keith Tkachuk
Chris Pronger
Chris Chelios
Keith Primeau
Owen Nolan
Rod Brind'amour
Ed Jovanovski
Roman Hamrlik
Chris Philips
Joe Thornton
John LeClair
Adam Graves
Doug Weight
Jean Ratelle
Vic Hadfield
Rod Gilbert
Reggie Leach - nothing old OPC or Topps even gets a nod.
Recently I have also noticed that even these players cards are getting very hard to move:
Phil Esposito
Johnny Bucyk
Marcel Dionne
Ron Francis
Eric Lindros
Brendan Shanahan
Curtis Joseph
Pierre Turgeon - if not for Quebec residents, his cards would be on par with Patrik Stefan
Feel free to add your own.

I would add Shane Doan, although it probably has something to do with the market he plays in.

I would have to say I've had some surprising Keith Primeau sales, but the rest of the list is right on. Bill Guerin could be added.

I have sold piles of Osgood cards. He actually sells more now that he is retired than when He played. I agree with Doan, Elias and Ollie - No Respect whatsoever.

I collect several of the Rangers players on your list:
Adam Graves
Jean Ratelle
Vic Hadfield
Rod Gilbert
Phil Esposito
Eric Lindros
but I do see your point about cards of these player being hard to move.

In regards to Primeau, what time of day do you list his cards? I have not sold a Primeau card in 2 years, I have about 90 of them, and some scarce parallels. I cannot give away his OPC Premier Rookie or just about anything else.
I may just be listing at the wrong time.

I have a few older pristine Hadfield and Rod Gilbert Cards, and a ton of Lindros parallels and inserts, same with Espo. I actually had some Lindros luck last week in selling his Dynagon Ice Blue, Silver and Leclair Combo Ice Blue after listing all 3 cards about 55 times.

I'd remove Tkachuk and Brind'amour from the list. Both players have some very dedicated collectors that pay very well. Brind'amours tougher parallels can be moved for big $....sold a BD Gold /10 and a HG /10 for over $125 each at auction.
