    Former Wings preparing for 'Showdown'

    DETROIT – One by one they stepped onto the ice – Chris Chelios, John Ogrodnick, Larry Murphy, Dino Ciccarelli, Jason Woolley, Jiri Fischer, Kris Draper, Eddie Mio, Mickey Redmond, Joe Kocur, Doug Brown, Paul Ysebaert.

    With only 29 days until the Maple Leafs vs. Red Wings Alumni Showdown, these former Red Wings reported for practice at The Joe Monday morning.

    Gawd I wish Jiri Fischer and Vladimir Konstantinov would not have had their careers ended. The Wings would have had 2-3 more Cups. I am glad that Fischer can now skate and play in a fun game.

    I am not sure about Fischer but Vlad was a absolute beast on the ice. Definitely, think another Cup for sure if he would have not been in the Limo.
