A Seattle teen shot and killed a man for his cellphone — then went to a friend’s house and complained the stolen gizmo wasn’t nice enough, police say.
Byron White, 17, now faces charges as an adult for killing David Peterson last month in the Washington city’s Greenwood neighborhood.

White was on the lam for a week after the shooting until cops caught up to him at the airport last weekend as the boy tried to board a flight to Atlanta, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer reported.
“David Peterson went out for a walk around the neighborhood after dinner and never returned, ” King County prosecuting attorney Dan Satterberg said in a statement. “He was a random victim from a chance encounter with a dangerous young man. That the evidence shows he was murdered for his cellphone by a teenager with a gun makes this all the more tragic and senseless.”

The Ballard High School student approached Peterson, 54, around 8:30 p.m. Feb. 23 and punched him in the head in a robbery attempt, the Post-Intelligencer reported.
Peterson fought back and went to a parking lot, where he called 911 to report the attempted theft. But as Peterson spoke, he saw White coming back for him and warned the dispatcher his attacker was returning.

The dispatcher heard Peterson tell his alleged attacker that he was not going to hand over the phone when the line suddenly went dead, the newspaper reported.
Responding officers found Peterson dead, shot once in the chest. The suspect had fled the scene, but cops found one 9-mm. bullet casing on scene.

White reportedly went to a friend’s home just blocks from the murder scene, where he told people there he had killed a man, the PI reported.
“He said that the man had seen his face, and he had to shoot him,” a detective wrote in court papers, the newspaper reported. “He showed his companions the phone he had finally taken from the man and expressed his disappointment that it was not a nicer model.”
Cops never recovered the gun, but say White admitted to the murder when he was arrested at Sea-Tac airport March 1.
White is charged with murder, unlawful possession of a firearm and attempted robbery. He’s held in lieu of $2 million bail and is set next to appear in court March 17.
If convicted, the callous killer faces up to 35 years in prison.

The pregnant mother who wildly drove her three children into the surf at a Florida beach was booked on a slew of charges that included attempted murder and child abuse, authorities said.
Ebony Wilkerson, 32, was arrested after her release Friday from a local hospital, where she has been under evaluation since the apparent murder-suicide bid at Daytona Beach, authorities said.
Volusia County Sheriff Ben Johnson told reporters that Wilkerson was cuffed after several interviews with the woman’s children — ages 10, 9 and 3 — and several witnesses.
“She actually told them to close their eyes and go to sleep, ‘I’m taking you to a better place,’” Johnson said. “The fact that she did intentionally try to kill the children...this is a tragic event.”
Wilkerson, who is nearly seven months pregnant, was driving erratically along the shoreline near Silver Beach Ave. when she suddenly veered into the ocean on Tuesday.
“Her son was actually trying to fight her for the steering wheel,” Johnson said.
As soon as the minivan plunged into the water, a group of lifeguards rushed into the water and braved the rolling waves to pluck the screaming kids from the abandoned van.

“The two in the backseat was crying with their arms out, saying: ‘Our mommy’s trying to kill us, please help,’” Tim Tesseneer, who helped rescue the wailing children, told WESH-TV.
The terrifying ordeal happened just moments after Wilkerson, who was visiting from South Carolina, was pulled over by police — who tracked the woman down after a frantic call from her sister, authorities said.
The sister told the 911 dispatcher that Wilkerson wigged out inside her Daytona Beach home before putting her kids in the minivan and speeding away.
“She’s talking about Jesus, that there’s demons in the house,” the sister told the operator, according to a recording of the call obtained by WESH-TV.

“She’s got the kids in the car with her.”
Police they pulled her over a short time later, but because the woman showed no signs of causing harm to herself or anyone else, the officers had no reasonable cause to take her into custody, Johnson said.
Soon after Wilkerson was allowed to get back on the road, she drove her van into the ocean.

There should be a thread for obvious mental health issues. That sort of thing alongside the idiocy of the chicken foot murderer makes her look stupid, not sick. That woman is sick. So is the chick who harassed herself on Facebook.

A New Jersey man convicted of strangling his wife and stuffing her body in a 55-gallon drum will spend the next 22 years in prison.
Steven Acuna, 40, throttled his wife, 32-year-old Randy (Amanda) Lehrer, during a confrontation inside their Jersey City Heights home in August 2011, Hudson County prosecutors say.
Lehrer, who had a 1-year-old daughter, was found inside the cement-filled drum in the basement of their Charles St. building about a month later, officials said.

Acuna, who has already spent two years in prison, pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter in October.
He must serve at least 85% — or another 17 years — before he’s eligible for parole

A demented teen dad bit off the nose of his 1-month-old baby because the infant would not stop crying, police in California’s Bay Area say.
The tiny child’s 17-year-old mother was “hysterical” when she called Fairfield police to report her little boy was bleeding from his nose.
Responding cops found the wailing babe had his nose chewed off and had also suffered a skull fracture and brain hemorrhage.
Joshua Cooper, 18, and the baby’s mother, along with other family members, were home at the time of the alleged abuse.

Cops said they later learned Cooper snapped and chomped off the boy’s nose after becoming frustrated with the tyke's wails of pain.
The baby was taken to the hospital and is currently in stable condition.
The disturbed dad was charged with child cruelty and aggravated mayhem.
Police are still investigating how the infant’s skull was fractured.

A Texas dad disgusted with his daughter’s lesbian lifestyle murdered the young woman and her lover, the girl’s mother said in a shocking twist to a gruesome case.
James Cosby, 46, bludgeoned his daughter Britney Cosby to death and shot her lover, Crystal Jackson, on March 6 before dumping the bodies near the ferry gate in Port Bolivar, Texas, police believe.
The bodies were found near a Dumpster around 7:30 a.m. the next day outside a Fisherman’s Cove food mart.

    Both women were 24.
Britney’s mother told KHOU-TV that Cosby was angry his daughter was gay.
"He said it to me a few times that he did not like the idea of her being gay," Loranda McDonald told the TV station. “But, like I told him, there’s nothing we could do about that. That’s who she is. We can’t change her lifestyle.”Capital murder charges are pending against James Cosby, a registered sex offender released from prison in October, Galveston Sheriff Office Capt. Barry Cook told the Daily News. The murder weapons have not been recovered and Britney Cosby’s recently purchased 2006 Kia Sorento is still missing.
But James Cosby is held in jail on a combined $500,000 bond after cops collared the man for tampering with evidence — and he is the prime suspect in at least one of the murders.
His fingerprints were found on a piece of paper on the bodies and pools of blood were found inside Cosby’s Houston home, Cook said.
“At least one murder happened at his house,” Cook said.

Britney Cosby, left, and her lover, Crystal Jackson, right, were found dead on March 7.

Cosby moved in to the home only in October after he was released following a two-year stint in prison. His daughter and her grandmother lived at the home and let him move in.
In his bedroom, which Cook described as a converted garage, the murder suspect had a copy of the Koran open to a page which talks about homosexuality as a sin, family advocate Quanell X told KHOU. The find may give some insight into Cosby’s disturbed mindset, the advocate said.
“It’s quite unfortunate but he had a real, real warped understanding, in my opinion, of the religion of Islam and its position on the gay lifestyle and what one should do,” Quanell X said.

An NYPD cop who couldn’t get his story straight about Hurricane Sandy washing away evidence in a gun case has landed in a superstorm of trouble.
A federal lawsuit related to the case was filed against Officer Angelo Pizzarro last week, coming on the heels of a state judge referring the cop’s “bizarre and implausible” testimony to the Internal Affairs Bureau for investigation.
Robert Cooper maintains in his suit filed last week that he did not have a gun. He spent six days on Rikers Island and appeared in court more than a dozen times before his case was thrown out, his suit says. He is seeking unspecified damages.
Assistant District Attorney Luis Segura, who lost the criminal case, insisted the cop isn’t a liar, but said, “I would submit that Officer Pizzarro is not the brightest tool in the shed,” according to a transcript.
Pizzarro was part of a team of housing cops who claimed they spotted Cooper with a gun in his waistband outside a Coney Island project on Jan. 12, 2012. The cops claimed Cooper tossed the unloaded .32-caliber handgun in the grass.
But when Pizzarro was called to testify at a hearing in November, he claimed his memo book detailing the arrest had been “washed away” with his locker by Sandy.
Later it was learned that Pizzarro had previously handed over the missing memo book to the city Law Department in a separate lawsuit. Questioned why the memo book was not waterlogged and the ink still legible, Pizzarro came up with this explanation: “There are pens that write under water. It won’t leave a blemish, a running mark or anything.”
The judge threw out the gun evidence against Cooper and told the prosecutor to refer the matter to the IAB.
“When police officers can lie on the stand without consequences from the NYPD, the DA’s office, or judges, innocent people go to jail and people lose faith in the criminal justice system,” Cooper’s civil lawyer, Robert Marinelli, told the Daily News.
