Joyce Mitchell, 51, a tailor shop instructor at Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, reportedly supplied prisoners Richard Matt, 48, and 34-year-old David Sweat with a number of prohibited tools.

She also allegedly agreed to be their getaway driver, but got cold feet at the last minute. She was arrested earlier Friday on charges of aiding the pair in their 'Shawshank Redemption'-style escape.

This is why we should execute dangerous criminals and not lock them up "forever". The inmates just put a bag over this lady's head and had sex with her until she gave them tools to escape and now 2 weeks later they are still on the run. State has had to pay all these police to look everywhere for them and nothing. And one of them killed a guy by chopping him up. Not somebody you want to have running around free.

A 19-year-old who said he wanted to support ISIS by killing as many as 1,000 Americans has been arrested after his dad alerted authorities.

Justin Nojan Sullivan, a self-described Muslim convert from Morganton, North Carolina, was arrested on Friday and faces several charges, including attempting to provide material support to the Islamic State group.

Federal authorities were first made aware of the teen's alleged plot when his father, Richie Sullivan, told emergency dispatchers on April 21 that his son was destroying religious items in their home.

Looks like one of them have been killed. The one that chopped up his boss into pieces. The other one is still on the loose.

A convicted murderer who escaped from a North Carolina prison this weekend was arrested on Sunday, while the kitchen worker who has been charged with helping him break out is now behind bars.

Kristopher McNeil, 29, is believed to have scaled the fence at the minimum-security unit of Brown Creek Correctional Institution in Polkton on Saturday, prison officials said.

He was found walking along Highway 52 near the Davidson/Forsyth County line around 11pm on Sunday night after being recognized by passersby from media reports.

Kendra Lynette Miller, 33, has been charged with harboring a fugitive, aiding and abetting a fugitive, having sex with an inmate and providing a cell phone to an inmate.

McNeil was taken to Davidson County Jail and will be transferred to Central Prison in Raleigh. He will face escape charges which could add one to three years to his sentence.

McNeil was serving a 14-year sentence for second-degree murder after he was convicted in 2009.

His release was scheduled for 2018.

Are women so desperate that they have to have sex with inmates now?

A mother killed by a drunk driver in New York was due to donate a kidney to her mother, who is now back on the transplant list.

Nydja Herring, 32, was killed when she was struck by a drunk driver as she crossed a street in The Bronx, while she walked to the shop to buy milk for her two-year-old twin toddlers.

The 29-year-old drunk driver, Augustus Jenkins, from Montgomery, was returning from the wake of a baby who had died from sudden infant death syndrome, in January 2014.

A friend of Jenkins, who was driving with a suspended license, was also in the car, along with two children aged four and 11.

Jenkins was handed a maximum of four years in prison this month, following an 11-day trial, after being convicted of criminally-negligent homicide.

Really the max is four years for killing somebody while driving drunk in NY?
