My Grand Card Project
Well, after collecting cards for years with no real sense of direction besides a couple of consistent PC's and some really unfortunate trades on my end, I've finally found a goal. I had lost interest for a while but I know this will keep me in the hobby. Not knowing I hadn't been collecting cards for a while I got a 20 card display case for my birthday. Instead of filling it up with cards I had, I decided on this. Each row of cards would be of the 5 best players of my 4 favorite teams. The Yankees, Rangers, Knicks, and Giants. Preferably all auto's, except for the Yankees. A big challenge will be that the cards have to be thin and vertical or they will not fit in the display case because they have to be in snap holders.
I created a blue print to keep me updated with my results

Rangers: Lundqvist, Messier. Leetch, Richter, Gilbert
Knicks: Reed, Frazier, Ewing, Monroe, King
Giants: Taylor, Carson, Strahan, Gifford, Tittle
Yankees: Jeter, Mantle, DiMaggio, Gehrig, Ruth
The most expensive to get will probably be Jeter, Gehrig (jsy), Ruth (jsy), and Ewing.
Going to post updates here and love to hear your guys thoughts on the project or any players you think I should change for others.
Thanks for reading

Love the idea, but where is Eddie Giacomin to me he is a true Ranger legend and deserves to be there, also no Eli I know he's having a bad year but he still has 2 superbowls.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I'm going to do Giacomin over Hank but ultimate goal is to get a dual auto of both. And with Eli the main reason for that is money right now. Would rather put resources towards the other guys rather than him. Also this year hasn't given me much confidence in him.
Thanks again!

I would love to see a Giacomin/Lundqvist dual is there already one out or is that a card you're hoping to be made. Eli I can understand money being an issue but buying him now is the right time, his cards may never be cheaper.
