Plutnar throws a refs

End of the second period plutnar chucks a linesman to the ice going after McDavid. Bush league and embarrassing to say the least. Plutnar is given only a minor for roughing. Terrible terrible call by the stripes. IIHF should suspend this clown. You don't do crap like that. Thoughts?

Usually they protect the refs. I guess he's getting the same treatment as Letang for his cross heck in the playoffs.

The IIHF IS a joke. Rene Fassel has a soccer-oriented view of the sport, and they do everything in their power to Europeanize hockey at every chance they get, largely out of spite for the superior North American game.

There will be a suspension after the fact, due to pressure, but a minor assessed on the play should tell you how incompetent these referees at the International level really are.


AND, Canada lost to a team who isn't considered a medal contender. There's no excuses for losing like this. I don't see how Canada wins gold this year. Sweden and Russia look to be the best two teams. I can't name one guy on the US Team either, and I am a hockey prospect guru lol

watched it and the Czech player should be given suspension, I think 3-5 games for touching and pushing down the ref, he was clear on what he was doing.

Canadians lost because once again they are playing as a team of great players but not AS a team, rather as individuals.
And what the hell was a 16yr old taking a shoot out chance when you have far better players on the bench.

For the record, I wasn't trying to poop all over Europeans or the European game, I was just angry, and hate Rene Fassel and the very obviously anti-North American way he handles the IIHF. Don't like the guy or the way he runs things one bit.
