Upper Deck creates Winter Classic cards

As the NHL gets ready for The Winter Classic, Upper Deck has put together a set of the big game.

Every fan in attendance at The Winter Classic between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Detroit Red Wings will get a free pack of Upper Deck’s Winter Classic cards.

The set consists of 20 cards with 10 for each side and, what Upper Deck calls, added surprises. Upper Deck will have a booth at the event where fans can get more packs and also a card of themselves at The Winter Classic.

What a day for horse-trading if you have a ticket to the game. I would not leave the stadium until I had the full set, and bonus cards.

Geez, they are given an opportunity to maybe introduce more people to collecting (those attending the game) and blow it with garbage like this. It isn't that hard to make sure you don't get duplicates with 2 cards.

I'd be mad just pulling one Dan Cleary . But no really that absolutely sucks pulling doubles of any player from a 4 card pack.

I didn't realize the packs were in the seat cushion pouch and didn't find them until I got home from the game (don't know how sitting on them didn't bend them to heck), got Franzen, Zetterberg, Ericsson, and Kessel. Heard that UD was selling additional packs at their booth at the game but I couldn't find them so I guess I'm resorting to ebay to finish the set.

i didnt realize it till i put my two packs together. 2 alfredssons 2 clearys 2kadris a franzen and a dekyser. if you want them i could just mail them to you if your chasing the set
