Any collection goals for 2014?
Anyone have a goal set for their collection in 2014?
`I know for sure that I will love having some new Olympians to chase down after Feb and I plan to add at least one a month afterwards to my collection of Olympians.
`I usually get carried away in spring training and this year I am going to try to stay around 100 mailers there.
`Going to hit more celeb autos this year. I have seen some amazing actress, actors and singers sign and I rarely went after them.
`I took more risks on large names last year and had some very good successes because of it. I will do it again this year. I am thinking more quality and less quantity!
What are your collection goals in 2014? Are you trying to complete a project? Do you have a total success rate or number that you are going for? Are you looking at trying a different project? Will you want to get more photos, baseballs, pucks or some other specific item than before? Are you going to begin a questionnaire to send with requests? Looking forward to hearing what you have planned and best of luck on hitting your goals.

After finding affordable 8x10s of Hank Aaron and Willie Mays, I'd like to be able to add George Brett and Sandy Koufax to my Baseball Hall of Fame collection. The problem with adding Brett is that he doesn't really do signings anymore and won't sign TTM. Koufax rarely signs either.
As for TTM/signings, I've already got a batch of 8x10s to be sent out--along with recently sending to Nadel and Angell.

I'm working on 2 sets - 1996 collectors choice and 2004 Topps that I'm trying to make progress on. I know I won't get anywhere remotely close to finishing even part of either, but I'll say 100 cards each is a goal.
I also want to get at least 100 prospects, I have complete sets of 2013 draft, heritage ML, 2012 EEE and part/most of 2013 Bowman in base that I am going to send large parts out.
I also started a project of getting people from my hometown on 8x10's, although I don't really have a goal. I want to continue that and hopefully get most of them (off the top of my head, there are 3-4 baseball players, 3 football players, 2 hockey players, 1 basketball player, and a soccer player).

I have a George Brett auto on an index card. It's addressed To Bobby (he was a clubhouse attendant in 86 for the Royals. I bought it at his estate sale, following "Bobby"s passing.)...it's in really good shape. Is be willing to sell or trade you. I'm interested in Red Sox balls, let me know. I only collect baseballs. But I am willing to sell it. I also have 18 other members of that Royals team, all on separate index cards.

My goals this year are:
Kevin Millar baseball
Clayton Kershaw baseball
Michael Wacha baseball
id like to get Pete Rose ball, should be easy enough.
im aiming to send out about 2 dozen baseballs during spring training, and another dozen or so during the year. I'd like to add some more HOFers to my collection as well. I already have Doerr, and waiting on Boggs and Bunning.
i live in St Louis and visiting teams all WALK to the hotel after games, so I'm gonna spend plenty of summer nights outside of Busch Stadium by Gate 3 lol...
id LOVE to get Pedroia on a ball, I have him on a card but I bought it, not IP or TTM...
im also going to the Cardinals Winter Warm Up, and can get about 3 dozen graphs there, all varying prices. Wacha went from $5 last year to friggin $70 this season! I'll just wait haha
i guess my goal is really to get as many baseballs as I possibly can, some high end, some role guys and especially anyone from Red Sox past, 04 07 & 2013 teams...
i may even try hockey and basketball as well but not collecting cards or photos makes it tougher. I may even try for some basketball. I've made a "dream list", so I wanna knock out as many of them as I can. It should be a fun fun year!! GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! Hopefully we can all grow closer to each other and help each other in achieving our goals. I sincerely hope we can learn to share addresses and tips etc. it's a passion of all of us, let's stop some bickering and help each other more!

With part of my tax return I've been debating whether of not to buy an autographed baseball of everyone who has had their number retired by the Red Sox. I already have Doerr. Most are reasonable price, except Cronin (#4) he seems damn near impossible to acquire. I am FOR SURE gonna acquire a Ted Williams ball (psa or JSA). It would go great with my framed autographed Ted Williams lithograph. Fisk, Rice, Yaz and Pesky are all attainable. What do you guys think? Cool idea or no?
