Handwritten or Typed
Im new to the whole TTM thing. I've just recently been getting started, and most of my first send-outs have been hand-written. However, it is a lot easier to type them up, and I've seen conflicting reports on whether or not it really makes a difference, and I'm wondering what the other members may have found.

thanks for the feedback. If handwriting gets more responses from players, that's the way Ill go.

I type all of mine unless its a special circumstance. I've received people writing back to my letters too like Jimmer Ferdette, Fred Jackson, etc. I agree that the hand written approach is more sincere and has a better chance at response, but during quick releases times (EX: Spring Training), its better to sometimes take the quick route.
Hope that helps!

I always hand write mine. Yeah it's a pain sometimes and very time consuming, but it's more sincere. You can mass produce and copy/paste letters and just swap out names quickly, but the athlete realizes that too. So, despite how inconvenient it is, I always hand write mine. Just makes it more personal. I don't know if it makes a difference or not, I've never asked nor have I ever typed one out. I guess overall I'm just worried that they will think I'm trying to send out a lot to resell them. I don't resell any autographs I get. I don't even trade them. They sit in my man cave. Spring training will be super annoying, I plan on sending out 2 dozen baseballs lol that's ALOT of hand writing!

I've never tried typing my letters, and probably never will. If I were a player receiving mail, I would appreciate it more knowing someone took time putting the letter together instead of sending a typed, form letter

I have never written mine, I have pretty illegible handwriting.
I don't think my typed letters has affected my success one bit. I think what is in the letter is way more important than if it is written or typed.

Most players that sign will sign for everyone, regardless of the note. For the players that aren't that good with signing, handwritten will make them more likely to want to sign for you. As long as your handwriting is legible, handwritten is always better.
Handwritten notes also make a better connection with the player. I handwrite my notes and I have had many players respond to my notes and I have had a few ask me to hit them up on twitter.

I have not handwritten a letter in years. You also can still personalize a letter in print. The things is that the player can most likely read my typed letters.
