It's the time of year where a lot of the higher end products roll out to coincide with the conclusion of the NFL season. Absolute Memorabilia (or is just Absolute now) has been a fan favorite for years. Absolute contains a 100-card base set along with 100 rookies (numbered to 499) and 40 RPMs (Rookie Premiere Materials). Cards feature a vibrant chrome foil with the colors to match the team of the player. Each pack will yield 2 base and either 1 rookie or Spectrum parallel (seen below).

Hogg Heaven (4)




Each base and rookie has four parallel levels in the Spectrum series numbered to 99 or less (Silver, Gold, Platinum and Black). These typically fall once in every two packs. Absolute has one insert this year called Hogg Heaven. These cards appear one in every pack. The 90-card set also has two parallels called Boss Hogg and Hogg Wild (numbered to 99 or less). Hogg Heaven utilizes a football for a background and tries to portray it with its texture.

Each pack of Absolute will yield either a relic, autograph or combination of the two. This means 4 hits in every box. 40 rookies get the RPM treatment. The Rookie Premiere Materials feature three relic swatches and an autograph. The regular version is numbered to 299 with parallel versions available. There are a litany of opportunities in regards to the number of relic and auto sets available in Absolute. There are jumbo patches, NFL shields, laundry tags, Nike swooshes, gloves, etc. waiting to be revealed. Even mutil-player cards can be found in the Team series (Trios and Quads).

Nice hit on the Geno Smith? It would have been a great hit before the season started but I don't know how great of a card it is now.
