They've been bookmarked on my machine for a while--it helps in getting some of the CYA winners. I just hope I don't have to pay even more for Phil Niekro, who I just sent an 8x10 with $20 on Wednesday.
The prices for Mike Marshall have prices him well out of my range to get his signature.

Well there are some really nice ads for Mets and Reds fans for sure! An originals Mets players and a member of the 69 Mets are cool and the number of Big Red Machine pitchers he has coming in is exciting!

Like dsolzman said, the Mike Marshall prices are insane! I wonder why? I have read that he's a pretty eccentric guy but those prices for him seem nuts.

From CPS in an email: "Dr. Marshall is notoriously elusive and charges a lot for his autograph."
From another email: "I understand the confusion as it's not often that you see a price like that for an autograph of a non-HOFer or retired player. Like I said, he rarely signed while he played and even less so after he left baseball so he is able to basically "name his price"."
I initially had thought it was a typo. Oh, well--that's one CYA winner I won't be getting.

Marshall has been like this for years. The prices aren't a misprint and Chris is not trying to rip anyone off. Marshall simply doesn't sign -almost never. And he is eccentric...and perhaps has a more inflated view of what he was as a professional athlete than the rest of the free world does. For a guy that was 97-112 lifetime, pay it if you want, but I'm happy to let him just be a doctor and leave him alone.

I needed him for my 1976 Topps set, and I got it on the first signing that CPS did with him over a year ago... the current price looks ALOT better than what I paid for the first signing...but as stated, he is so rare and elusive that I jumped on it never expecting to see another signing this soon.

If he is a doctor his signature would be illegible anyways lol
