US Members CHEAP SHIPPING to Canada PLEASE LOOK
I saw this from a member on here long ago but I still see people complaining about it. I know that some people have a cheap way of shipping to Canada (Centrehice) but it doesn't work at every post office including mine. Here is what to do.
Buy Global Forever Stamps $1.20 a piece
Use size #000 envelopes
Put one stamp on
Leave in mailbox
This works for cards up to the SPX Rookie Jersey Auto cards size. I have not tried anything thicker yet. It will NOT work for thick Patch cards (CUP, Dominion). I use Penny Sleeve, toploader, and a base card taped to each side. Its cheaper for me to ship out of the country. I have not had one package returned or go missing. None have needed any extra stamps or money. I have sent cards up $50 sale value this way. Anything over $50 I sent with a customs form $6.55 for fear of it not reaching its destination. However with the success I am having I will be sending everything this way from now on.
Not one complaint from eBay or SCF, NO trips to the PO, extremely cheap. My post office didn't accept the other ways but this way works for me. Try it out worst that happens it gets returned to you needing more postage. Also this works for the European countries as well.
LMK if you have any questions ThanksFlickr: Hidden Content

This has been discussed over a year ago ad-nauseum. Many already do this. You are fortunate where you live that everything gets through, others have not been so lucky and have theirs returned because some bubble envelopes are too thick for the mail slot guide.
It works very well if you have a real thin bubble envelope, but the heavy duty ones? Does not work. It just takes one mail-sorting employee to end your fun by measuring thickness.
My guys at the till try to push my bubble through, if they don't fit, they charge me oversize at $1.75 which they really should not be doing as oversize must be greater than 8 1/2 By 11 inches.Last edited by centrehice; 01-11-2014 at 05:42 PM.

I just sent Luc (CoolHandLuke) a couple of Habs cards and tried something new: my regular cardboard DVD mailer with a Global Forever stamp, extra regular stamp to cover the non-machinable fee and NO customs form, but I did write "DO NOT BEND" on both sides (usually I do a $2.52 stamp to cover Large Envelope with non-mach. surcharge, plus a customs form and no writing). We'll see if it works!

Thanks for sharing these methods. As a Canadian customer I appreciate the lower cost methods since most of the cards I buy are low value cards.
I know for members who have been in the forum for the past year, some of this is old news. However, we always get new members, so it is always good to update and share this type of news.

It's all about getting things as flat as you can. If you can get something flat and not too rigid, it has a chance of passing the lower shipping costs and not be intercepted by somebody with a thickness guide.
