Edmonton's management is terrible. Have they not noticed that every goalie that has played for the Kings this year has played well? Maybe it's a sign that LA has a pretty good defence in front of them?

No goalie can thrive in Edmontons system.

I dont even watch Edmonton games very often, just highlights every night ..... and man these guys are horrible in the defensive zone. Makes me laugh, when the TSN guy says something like " goalie "X" has now let in 4 goals + in his last 5 games" ...... when youve just seen breakaways / 2v1s / players just left open infront of the net.

Is Dubnyk a great goalie? No. Is he better having left Edmonton .... for sure.

Is Scrivens the answer ....... in short. No.

IMO, the goaltending isnt the question.

booooooooooooooooo..... haha. *shakes head* I'm not sure what Edmonton is even thinking anymore. On the bright side, dubnyk will probably shine over in Nashville

And the final pieces are now in place to tank!

Congrats Edmonton, I'm kinda jealous that you are getting another high pick. It's tough picking in the middle every year.

Of everything Edmonton has done, fans will enjoy Steve Pinozzotto, and his brand of play is what was needed in Edmonton, the most.

Dude plays like a starving man fighting for a piece of bread.

Looking back at the last several years speaking with my friends, I remember myself saying the following in conversations:

2009-10: "We could tank, but I don't think we will be bad enough to get Taylor Hall" - #1 overall pick: Taylor Hall
2010-11: "I don't think we will be bad enough to get Larsson, RNH, or Couturier" -#1 overall pick (again): RNH
2011-12: "I don't think we will be bad enough to get Ryan Murray to help our defense" - #1 overall pick (again, again): Yakupov
2012-13; "With a shortened season, we might have a shot at the playoffs, and probably should focus on middle guys in the draft like Josh Morrissey" -#7 overall pick: Darnell Nurse

and the 2013-14 offseason: "The Oilers probably won't be bad enough to get Aaron Ekblad"- .....well I'm sure you can all see where this is going.

So in the spirit of optimism:

I don't think the Oilers will be bad enough in 2014-15 to get Connor McDavid next year.
