Class Organization
Well, I braved the 10+ inches of snow to attend the Devils-Blues game yesterday at the Rock. I'm a Devils fan but was excited to get a look at the Blues who have the potential to go deep in the playoffs this year, and I'm not that optimistic about the Devils chances. Unfortunately this wasn't much of a contest with about 5 minutes left in the first and the Devils with 3 on the board. If you know the Devils, 3 for a game is special, but 3 in a period! Now admittedly the Bluse were playing for the second straight night, just having come from Detroit, so a let-down was not out of the question. Now, here's the class. Attendance was posted as 11,000 plus and I'd have to say that's being generous. Midway through the first period, it was announced that the lower level was opened to all to move down. We were in the first row of the upper level, so decided just to stay where we were (a nicer view of the entire rink IMO). Nice gesture, but it gets better. With about 5 minutes left (I guess as a reward for those who stayed since the game was long decided). The Devils announced that afer the game each ticket holder was invited to go to the box office to redeem their ticket for 2 free tickets to an upcoming game! They had several games to choose from and I was able get 4 tickets to the Devils-Oilers game in a couple of weeks! Extremely excited to bring my family to the Rock to see a young up and coming team. I'm sure other teams have done this before, just wanted to share my positive experience.

Classy gesture indeed! Kudos to those who put that together!
