I got a neutral for sending a card secured between 2 top loaders. I usually dont use that method but I was out of 130pt loaders and wanted to get the card out right away for the buyer. the 2 top loaders actually provided more protection than if the card was in a 130pt loader though. When I asked if the card was damaged, they said no, but they were mad they had to go get a proper size top loader for the card. LOL I sell cards and no where in the description did it say they would get the card in a proper size top loader.

I wouldn't be pissed if I got a card in this method. I've actually bought a few cool thick cards off the bay in the last week or two and am so excited to get the card I don't really care if it's in a top loader or a toploader sandwich. I am just pumped to get the card. Undamaged of course.
Getting a neg or neutral because of this is ridiculous. You're selling a card not a card and storage container.

I wouldn't leave negative feedback, I just wasn't sure if this only annoyed me or others as well.

To me as long as the cards are fine is all that I care about. But too many tape can be annoying and can even lead to damage to cards in certain case.

I get annoyed with this as well, I always ship in a top loader and bubble mailer, that to me is fundamental shipping practice for cards in my opinion, anything above that (team bag, extra padding, spacer to prevent bending) is just gravy. I know everyone has an opinion about it but why risk getting a card mangled over a $.10 top loader? Oh and scotch tape drives me too, I use painters tape or if the card was already taped into a top loader I leave it.

I haven't been too disappointed with getting them between two top loaders. Like everyone says if it gets to you in great shape, then that is all good. I know I wouldn't ship it like that. I do have a bit of an affinity of making sure the card/s are in a clean new top loader, and have a decoy for stiffness with it. I like to use a team bag instead of taping the top loader especially for higher end deals. I just think it's a great courtesy to whoever receives a nice card that it comes clean, and ready to enjoy in their collection.
As for base cards, and inserts, parallels.... I sometimes resort to using up all those taped up top loaders. I hope it doesn't annoy my fellow traders if I do! ;)Searching for: Jagr, Palffy, Stumpel, and Boyd
