JSA is beginning to drive me crazy.....
Ok so on November 29th I purchased an Earl Weaver signed baseball that was witness certified by JSA and a Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez signed baseball bat witnessed certified by JSA. They were brought through a local shop that does a lot of work with JSA at shows as well as having them in the shop to authenticate items people bring in as well as in shop signings. Ok sounds good right?
Well I get home and check the cert numbers which I now make sure to do because I had an issue with them listing an item of mine incorrectly well this time they had not entered the items at all. So I emailed them on November 30th letting them know of the problem and they finally get back to me on December 2nd asking for photos which I sent them via email and it has been an ongoing back and forth battle to get them to just enter the items ever since and to this point I am losing the battle. Here are some excuses I have gotten from them as to why nobody has entered it yet
"I did forward your info to our witness specialist but she is traveling until Monday. Thank you so much." - from December 6th
"I apologize and will personally hand this to her and you should be able to check back later next week. Sorry for the delay but our witness personnel travel all around the country. Enjoy your weekend."- from December 20th
" Thank you for your email and I am sorry that your information has not been entered as of yet. Our witness paperwork is always traveling with our authenticators and sometimes it does take longer to locate and input. The person who handles that is out sick and I do apologize again. I am going to put your email on their desk with an urgent reminder. Thank you again and Happy new Year." - from January 2nd
"I am sorry for the delay but we have been traveling extensively. I have given them your email again and they will follow up either tomorrow or early next week. Thanks again,"- from January 16th
Well it is now January 26th and guess what? Still not entered.... Here are the pictures I sent

I really do not get what the hold up is but has anyone else had problems like this with JSA or any of the big authentication companies?Last edited by ChosenOne719; 02-06-2014 at 03:01 AM.

Not that I have been aware of, but this certainly prompts me to make sure as well! Never even crossed my mind honestly!

Between my brother and I we have a decent amount of JSA certified stuff and right now we both are having a problem where they never entered an item.... His item was one that was signed elsewhere and we brought it in to a shop JSA was at certifying items people brought in and they certified his item put the sticker on and gave him the ticket and everything but never entered the item.
He has not contacted them yet about his item but I will be interested to see how his experience with them on a problem goes because my items are still not entered

Oh I'm definitely not happy about the situation.... At this point I am just thinking of waiting until one of the shops I go to has a JSA person in for in an store signing and talking to them in person because every time I ask is there any possible way to contact one of their experts the lady just says she will forward the message to the person who handles it.... Both of the shops I go to locally have set dates with JSA for people to bring items in to get certified and I was thinking of bringing them in then but I already am thinking they will say oh well those are witness cert and those are handled by different people.

Thats because the person doing the authentication is not the same person entering them in to the JSA database.

This is a bit concerning as JSA is gonna be at a local shop here next weekend and I planned on taking in several baseballs....this may be the final straw for them with me due to them rejecting two autographs that I personally witnessed being signed.(Actually planning on making a thread about that issue)
