    Getting an NBA ball signed

I am mainly a baseball collector but Iverson has a signing and want to get it. Do I need to buy a special ball for auto to "hold" and what pen/sharpie/paint pen works best? Any help is well appreciated

Sharpie makes a silver or gold permanent marker. I got Roy Hibbert to sign a ball (Spalding NBA indoor ball) and it still looks great 6 months later.

Some balls have that hard rubber bumpy feel, they are about 20 bucks. Other ones are the smoother softer rubber they are like 40. These sign better, I think.

That said, this 20 dollar ball that I got signed by carter williams with a gold paint pen came out okay.
