At a certain point, it becomes difficult to figure out how to add to a player collection. This is one way that I added something new to my Shaw PC.

Wow thats a great article from what I've heard from friends a lot of the Hawks are great with fans! The only thing I'll say is that the beckett value for a total player collection really isn't too accurate because that figure doesn't include the rare cards usually numbered 10 or less. So once you factor in all the shield cards and other 1/1 it gets insane.

Thanks for the kind words. I'd been writing it in my head for a couple of weeks and just had to get it out there to look at haha.

Shaw is the only one that I've had an opportunity to meet, but he really was fantastic. Since I was a company employee, I was able to just hang out and BS with him a bit.

I also agree on the 1/1s, etc. It skus it and makes it difficult. At least in my case it's a slightly easier task than someone who collects Ovechkin, Crosby, etc.

Great Shaw PC - Haven't commented yet but have been variously checking it out. Love the excitement that you show for your PC and the dedication. Sometimes when it isn't Ovie/Crosby/etc. it doesn't get as much love - very cool story about meeting Shaw. I have a few Hawks items in my PC that are pretty cool, will have to post them soon...

i always prefer to see the "unique" collections. I can see as much Crosby that I want but how many times do I see Andrew Shaw? Love to see those and peoples passions for their players over the big guns any day
