Nice Giolito success. He looks like he is going to be a great pitcher!

Thanks a lot, much appreciated! I sure hope he is, I remember when he and Max Fried were both drafted out of the same high school. I now have gotten both of them back so we'll see how they pan out.

Got my Bobby Doerr ball back today in 11 days c/o Home. I'm now 2/2 on baseballs through the mail in my life (and this month). I have unfortunately seen some poor autographs from Bobby recently on this site, but I decided to take a gamble and see what I'd get. After all, he is 96 and it's great that he is still taking the time to sign. The autograph is not too bad compared to what I've seen, although the 86 in his HOF inscription is a bit smudged. That's okay though, I'm not too bummed about it. I'm happy to have received my second HOF baseball in the span of 10 days!

A rare non-sports autograph for me, but just received a signed 8x10 from Bob Barker c/o email in 9 days. My friends and I always wanted to go on The Price is Right because we thought it would be hilarious and a lot of fun. We even had a whole plan about how we were going to get on the show. Unfortunately, we just have not made it out there together...yet.

I just got home from Champaign where I went to the University of Illinois vs Vanderbilt Super Regional baseball game. Vanderbilt destroyed U of I 13-0 and it's easy to see why they are the defending champs. Carson Fulmer threw a gem and the entire Vandy team was impressive. After the game, I stuck around to try and get Fulmer, Dansby Swanson, and Walker Buehler to sign baseballs. All three are potential top 20 picks in tomorrow's MLB Draft, with Swanson possibly going #1 and Fulmer going top 10. I was unable to find Buehler after the game, but I did end up getting both Swanson and Fulmer.

Lastly, the Illini have a potential top 3 pick themselves in Tyler Jay. Now this is an interesting one because I am friends with a bunch of guys on the team and I would often see Ty around. I've played basketball with him, I see him out, etc. We usually stop and talk for a few minutes whenever we see each other. Because I am pretty friendly with him, I just could not get myself to ask him to sign a ball for me. So a good friend of mine on the team knows of my collection and was able to get Ty to sign a B1G Ten baseball and he gave it to me. The ball is not brand new, but that is okay with me. My buddy got me that ball and a ticket to the game so I am one happy man.

All in all, we lost, but I greatly enjoyed the game. The atmosphere was terrific, and I highly recommend going to a college playoff game. I ended up getting 3 autographs, and all of them are most likely going to be top 10 picks in tomorrow's MLB Draft. I'd say that's a pretty good day.

Too bad the Illini lost, but you did really well on the autos. I was hoping Tyler Jay would go to the Cubs, but it is great that Swanson went #1 overall. A solid night of graphing for you. I guess Vanderbilt is too good, but never the less a great season for the Illini. It is very cool that you know Tyler.

Can't really complain with the results the way the draft turned out. Even nicer that Fulmer was drafted by the Sox! Definitely a good day...and you're right, a good season for the Illini.

    Now Go Hawks!

Now that I graduated from school, I've been getting caught up with my real world job, so it's been awhile for me. However, former White Sox World Series Champ Cliff Politte signed 1/1 in 8 days c/o Home. I was a big fan of Politte back in the day so this was a nice get for me. I couldn't this Topps Total card of him online anywhere, and I was lucky that I asked a friend of mine one day if he had one (basically the only person I actually know that enjoys this as much as I do) and he just so happen to have an extra.

I'm now at 9/25 signed cards of the 2005 White Sox World Series. Very slowly making progress but we will get there eventually! If anyone can help by 50/50, trade, or in whatever other way, feel free to message me.

A little late in posting this, but I treated myself to a birthday present with a Johnny Bench signed 8x10. Johnny has his own website where you can either purchase an autograph or send something in to be signed. I normally don't buy autographs but I couldn't resist the price as it was marked down on a Black Friday sale. The picture and inscription look great, so I'm real happy with the find.
