As much as I don't think its appropriate to reply to each and every post as I feel everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I must reply to this last one.
FIrst of all, I have no idea who you are but you seem to think you know a lot about my and my relationships with other manufacturers.
Many calls were made to Kevin Issacson in November and December and in reply, he promised to get back to us after he resolved a family matter. When some one tells me they are spending time on a family matter, I back off as there is nothing more important than family.
However, in late December after telephone calls were unanswered, I started sending emails only so that I could have a record of the number of times I approached Kevin.
So my only comment to you is that you make a lot of unsubstantiated comments.
I don't need to grab attention, it was my intent to call out Kevin with the hope of some type of a reply.
It failed, we still have heard nothing from him, not even a polite "no" after supporting his show for the first three years.
So mikeydcalgary, whoever you are, you are entitled to your opinion but I certainly disagree with it.
No one knows anything from the "other side" because they fail to respond.
That's just my opinion.

Brian,
You are correct I made some unsubstantiated claims regarding your business relationships. This was not my place to make these allegations. I publicly apologize for my bad judgement and erroneous comments.
I do, however, still believe that calling Mr. Issacson out in a public forum like this was in bad taste. You are a smart man and I believe you know that calling him out in this format would serve to start a flame war against him, that is what happens on message boards. Most members here are not attending and do not know Mr. Issacson and would have no influence on this situation. I do not however condemn you for your open letter on your blog, as that is your personal place to discuss matters. I just feel that posting in a public forum about something that does not involve the majority of the membership is a poor judgement.
Once again I apologize for my poor judgement in regard to my comments regarding your business relationships but stand by my objection to the original post.

It doesn't involve most of us?
I guess that's how much collectors matter to the manufacturers of collectibles?

I'd say this topic is germane to the concerns of EVERY hockey card collector. We all benefit from transparency and if a few toes are trodden on in the process, so be it.

BTW, Kevin Isaacson is on LinkedIn - in fact, he's only 3 degrees of separation from me (I know someone - two people, actually - who knows someone who can introduce me to him) - closer than Kevin Bacon! Just because we don't know him personally or will not be attending the Summit doesn't mean we can't share our thoughts with him if we wish (not that this is in any way an incitement to contact him).
