Thoughts on these cards, they have the same patch ?
I was looking through google to find cards to add to my collection, and I found these 2 cards with almost the identical patch.
I know on the Team Canada full crest there are 2 images of the moose, but they are flipped different ways. Both of these patches are of the moose on the left hand side of the full crest.
I would just like to see any thoughts of what might have happened here - did Upper Deck purchase 2 jerseys of Marleau and cut them up? (If he even wore more than 1 of the red jerseys during the 2010 Olympics) Or are they just using anybody's jersey on anybody's card?
(Sorry if I'm showing your personal card)

Chances are very good they are using anyone's jersey. What does the back of a Limited Logos card say?

"You have received a trading card with Game-Used hockey memorabilia and autograph of (insert name). The memorabilia has been certified to us as having been used in an official Team Canada game and the autograph was signed in the presence of a company representative or sent from, and certified as to its authenticity by, (insert name)"

Ya it could be anyone then, only specifies the auto not the memorabilia.

The first sentence though says "game used hockey memorabilia and autograph of (insert name)" so to me that means it should belong to the indicated player - but I guess it depends on how you read it.

So I'd love to hear what UD has to say about this. Sure looks like the same patch on different cards...so...makes you wonder. I wonder how much it would crush the hobby if collectors started to doubt the game used is from the actual player on the card...

Well I sent them an email simply asking them how many jerseys of Marleau they have from the Olympics. I'm not sure whether or not they'll tell me, but hopefully I get a response.
