Tuukka Rask stopped the Russian invasion!!
Is Tuukka the best goalie on planet earth right now?
These games were suppose to be Russian triumphal march to the Victory. We shouldn't have had no chance at all, even Mr. Putin was there.
Granlund was great, Vatanen was great, Tuukka was phenomenal, and of course our daddy'o Selanne hit the winning goal!
How great is that!! Team Finland showed once again what team spirit means! Next apple is team Sweden, crunsh, nam. Hardly can wait..
GO FINLAND GO!!

I really like Finland - they're such an underrated and under-appreciated team in international play. They're always near that top tier and always a threat.
You have to give them a lot of credit - no Koivu brothers, no Filppula, no Barkov, and they're still moving on to the next round.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Finland abused Russia, they shut them down so badly. Kept everything outside, worked twice as hard, battled for loose pucks and did not assume that they were the better team like Russia did.
The Czech Republic have just disappointed as badly as Russia. They should have give the USA team fits, but again they just assumed they were better and did not work at it.

Yep, was not an easy way, because like Richard said, Barkov, Filppula and both Koivu's were out.
We have one advantage compared to other teams. The team respects our coach Erkka VERY much and team spirit is very strong.
Can we reach the highest top? I don't know, but I do know that everyone gives everything on ice. I'm very proud of my team.

Since I became a Kurri fan in the early '80s, I have always enjoyed their team, their style of play, and have often found myself pulling for them against all others, including the USA. Very excited to see them advance, and of course this is tremendous to see for Teemu, one of the classiest players ever. I wish them well in the next round.
I collect: Kurri, '70s Kelloggs, Topps/OPC hockey /90 and earlier, selected '90s hockey insert sets, '70s football, and baseball with focus on Dynasty A's and completing sets.

All you have to do is solve King Henri and Finland will be in the gold medal game.

I have no real horse in the race.... though I do like being right, lol.... but when talking with friends about the tourney: My predictions for medals were Canada, Russia, and Finland (never gave an order).
I thought the USA would be too slow, and Sweden would be too injured.
If I had actually looked at the bracket, it was probably a little obvious that Russia and Finaland would meet too early for both to be able to medal, so bad prediction for me.
Now down to the final four - I will be surprised if Finland is not in the gold medal game.... and I won't be surprised, at all, if they win it. Rask is playing amazing, and the rest of the team is "good enough".

Tuukka > Henry...think Tuukka has the best rebound control of any goalie, like a sponge!....I cheer for Canada of course....But, to see Teemu win Gold might be even better to see!! They have as good a chance anyone. The Olympics really show its not the team with the most "all-stars" that is the best, but the team that plays best as a unified unit that will come out on top.
I have never put to much stock into the importance of who the coach is...until now.
