What do MLB players do with their fan mail?
Okay so I've been doing fairly well in terms of getting cards signed. I've sent to people like Brandon Barnes, Terry Collins, Koji Uehara, etc. What I would like to know is what do players do with their fan mail (the one's that don't respond). Do they just throw it away in the garbage? For instance, I just sent a card out to Yoenis Cespedes, along with a $2.00 donation, in hopes of getting my card back signed. I don't sell any of my cards. Anyways I'm really hoping to get it back.

Good question. I have no idea. It's possible some let it pile up. Look at Brandon McCarthy...he just responded to a few seasons worth of items.
If guys are not going to sign at all, I'd rather they send items back unsigned than keep it. I sent to 3 long shots this spring: Buxton, Sano, and Lindor. Buxton signed the 8x10s first this spring. Nothing yet from the likes of Sano or Lindor.
Some prospects only signed during ST last season like Gregory Polanco but he signed a few later in June.

Some players keep the cards. Some players throw it away, it depends on the player.

For some, our mail to them is probably like credit card offer mail which we get.. unfortunately, straight in the garbage...

I'm sure some fringe guys might save it to look back on years from now, others throw it away. Who knows really lol. I'm sure a lot of guys don't even read the letters n just sign n send, throwing the letters away. I really wish I knew what really happens to them!
