Storing PC in binder: Chronological or by Set / Year
I have two large PCs (over 1,500 cards each) that I want to put in binders with nine-pocket pages.
I am looking at two options for organizing them.
By Year (then) by Set (then) by Card # - i.e. 05-06 Artifacts, followed by 05-06 Beehive, etc... then 06-07 Artifacts, followed by 06-07 beehive, etc...
OR
By Set (then) by Year - i.e. All Artifacts followed by all Atomic, followed by Beehive, etc...
Do you guys have any preferences?Hidden Content

I go by year, because my tiny (compared to yours) 600+ PC takes up three 3-inch binders at the present, it's east to reach for the one I need depending on the year............plus that way I can see him go from a young & hopeful prospect to an old & bearded and devoid-of-all-hope veteran :D

I know I will have multiple binders for each PC.
Sorting by set would make it easier to see what cards I need to complete a set. If I need three MVP cards I would go to the MVP pages and see, at a glance, which I need.
Sorting by year first, I agree, gives chronology and continuity. You see the rookie, the young star, the change to new teams...
I don't know. I'll mull it over for a bit before deciding

Sort by year, if it is one or two players and not the whole team. Sets tend not to be consistent, skipping years and or even not producing cards of particular player. Some sets have a good run of years while others may have one or two. Sorting by year gives you a consistent look of the player being featured and his physical appearance remains more consistent as you flip through the binders.

I sort by year. Within the year, each set is alphabetical... and numerical within the set.
