Autographs at Islanders Game
Hello All!
I'm going to an Islanders game in a few weeks and was hoping you guys could help me out. I was hoping to get some autographs at the game and was wondering where I should go, when I should be there, and things of that nature. I've done this at minor league games before but never at an NHL game. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Which game? Depending on the team, the visitors either stay at the Marriott across the street and walk or the Garden City Hotel and bus in. As for the Islanders, they have a lot that's designated for them but its not gated off or anything. If you get into town a day early, they usually skate in one of 2 places as well. Either at the Colisuem or in Syosset at the practice facility. PM me if you want details about anything.

Two weekends from now against the Caps (I'm more interested in Caps autos than Islanders). It's a Saturday at 5 game so if I get autos it would probably be afterwards.

I met JT and prob;y 7-8 other players every time Im there. about 30-45 min after the game go to the Players parking ramp on the opposite side of the Marriott at the Coliseum. They drive out of the Garage and up the ramp to the exit. Most players will stop and sign for 10-15 people. I even have pics with JT who gets out of his car. on occasion the security will give you a hard time and ask what you doing there just tell him your hoping a couple of guys will stop or that your waiting for your ride. Sometimes these security Jerks forget who pays them to sit around and act arrogant. Most of Nassau Security chases people away and then send their kids to an empty area to get things signed. I see it way to often. If your looking to meet opposing stars wait at the Exit from the Marriott to the Arena parking lot you will see other people. I meet Kunitz, Dupris and Letang on a yearly basis and if you go to the hotel the Manager will just tell you the coach doesnt allow her to let you on wait. so just sit in the champs bar and grab a soda and you will meet plenty of guys.

Alright thanks. So if I'm looking for getting Caps guys after the game just go to the front of the hotel that faces the arena?

Most teams bolt out after the game. Usually they pull the bus up right towards the back of the hotel post-game. As for before; if its a 5pm start, they usually will walk across between 2-3pm depending on the player. They walk from the back of the hotel across to the box office of the coliseum then down the escalator to the dressing room.
