Canadian Shipping Question
Hi everyone. I was wondering if some of the canucks on SCF could help me out on this one. I won a card auction on ebay a few days ago and the seller charged me $19 to send a tracked, insured, small packet to the united states.
I was just wondering if this is the actual cost of sending such and item as it seems pretty high. I know canada post just increased rates, and I had trouble finding the cost of insurance on their site.
Maybe some canadian friends can shed some light for me (and the rest of us on SCF).
Much appreciated!!

I actually find this to be a decent price. I had to ship a Dougie Hamilton Dominion RPA to Panini HQ and it costed me just over $16 dollars for it to be sent by tracking.

I won't quote you the exact price, but that's prettty accurate.
If I were to ship express post... something with a tracking number, a signature required, and $100 insurance on it... that would cost me $12-$15 even if the package didn't leave Ontario. That it's near $20 to get service like that to the USA sounds about right.

Depending where you are in the USA it could actually cost more than you were charged. I think you paid a fair price.

That is about right. For tracking, Shipping. But it is either coming to you Expedited or Xpresspost not Small packet. Small packet has no insurance (that was taken away last year.) and no tracking.

Thanks guys. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't being gouged on Shipping. I guess we all have to get used to a world with high shipping prices unfortunately :(
