Post First look: 2014-15 O-Pee-Chee Hockey cards

    http://www.beckett.com/news/2014/06/...-hockey-cards/

The 2014-15 O-Pee-Chee Hockey release will feature a 600-card base set with 32 packs of eight cards in every box.

Each pack will include a Regular Retro Variation card. Every box should have eight Marquee Rookies, eight Marquee Legends, eight Rainbow Foil parallels, 10 OPC Stickers and two OPC V Series A inserts. There will be random Black Border cards (numbered to 100) randomly inserted.

Case hits feature three autographs (including rare buybacks) and four NHL Team Logo Patches.

The popular NHL Team Logo Patches will be making their last appearance in O-Pee-Chee hockey. The third year of the manufactured relic cards will feature logos from 1917 to present with six tiers of scarcity. There will be commemorative, vintage and cartoon patches – finishing a 300-card set.

The O-Pee-Chee V Series inserts will use pre-war hockey cards on 2 ˝-by-2 ˝-inch cards.

Upper Deck will have a wrapper redemption, but specific details weren’t released yet. The cards collectors can get in the redemption include five Red Border parallels and one Mini Tall Boy.

Collectors have a chance to also find Black Bordered Hot Boxes.

2014-15 O-Pee-Chee Hockey is scheduled to come out September 3.

Ay yaaaaaaaaaaaa. 76/77 design hockey meets 1975 color-scheme baseball, they get sloshed in a bar one night and then out pops little baby Ovechkin base card.

And more tobacco cards, because who doesn't love those eh?

Oh well, it's an entry level product, you get what you pay for :D

    "eight Marquee Legends"

Great! 100 more useless cards of players that retired before I was born. I get really tired of having old players in every single pack of "new" cards I buy. Why don't they actually make cards of 4th line players that are actually on today's teams instead of guys that retired 50 years ago that already have plenty of cards out there for those who need to collect them? I can go get a Jay Beagle card autographed. Don't really card much about Syl Apps...

looks cool. How will the 14-15 class stack up against the 13-14? Obviously weaker but by how much?
