Yesterday at a yard sale I found this

So yesterday I'm doing my usual Saturday morning thing and going yard sailing with my wife. We have five kids (yes I know a lot) and these always help us. We are following our map and end up at this nice house in a wealthy neighborhood. There is a crowd of people standing around checking it out, they were checking out tools, nice ones too.

So I poke around and my eye sees this hat. I pick it up put it with the pile of other things ask the guy how much, and my wife is there talking with me at the time and the guy looks at her and says "I have a bunch of signed jerseys, I don't like to tell people this but my wife used to date (pause...) Mike Madano". I said "cool" wondering to myself why would you be embarrassed by that, and where is she? I bet she's hot. I know my wife is hot, and he was probably saying that to her not me but what can you do? So he looks at the small pile of things I wanted and gave me a price for everything and the deal was closed.

    Now here's what I know

    1. There is no certificate of authenticity here. None. Red flag I know

    2. The center of this hat says "Pros vs Prospects Charity Classic II" and 2006 with the Texas Tornado logo in the center and the year 2006. The Texas Tornado's not to be confused with the late Kerry Von Eric are a Junior A National Champion hockey team. Every year the Texas Tornadoes play a charity game against a team of professional players. This has been going on for years and has had some big name players play that game. Honestly before this expirence I'd have never heard of this event so I googled and found this

Sounds pretty cool to me and shows a nice provinence.

So admittely I'm not good at authenticating but I think what I see is Bret Hulls autograph and Guy Carbonneau's autographs. My wife is thinking that the story probably went like this

Mike Madano either won this at that charity auction and his wife ended up with it

    or

Mike Madano's autograph is on there and I'm not seeing it

    or

This was Mike Madono's hat they passed around and why his autograph is not on there. Lots of times people think they will get something signed and don't. These are all guesses and I don't know. I don't know anything about Hockey to be honest with you. I know that I'm a Captails fan at heart because I grew up watching them but besides that this is all I know. So I am hoping that I could get some help from the forum on this item.

    My questions are:

    1. Was this a good pickup? With so many questions I honestly don't know yet

    2. Should I get this authenticated? If so by whom? I figure it would be more valuable if I did but there a cost associated with that and I am not sure it would be worth the cost?

    3. Any one want to guess as to the value of this?

    4. And last one, hoping the hockey gurus might know who else signed this?

    Here are the pictures.

The NIKE Golf tag is still attached. Can someone help? All opinions are welcome. I bought this to trade or sell. If someone wants to make an offer I'm taking them. Thanks for viewing and I hope you have a great day,

    Alex

Very cool piece! You're right about Brett Hull (being along the bottom of the brim). I can tell you that's Bill Ranford above him (on the left) #30 in his signature.
