Pay-It-Forward Autograph Community Style!
Patriotsguy had started a Pay-It-Forward thread for the whole site earlier and to be honest I love the idea. It is something that works so well for TTM/IP autograph hounds! I wanted to start one for just the autograph community here at SCF! Should you know that a member here is collecting a city, team or sport and you have something that they might like Pay-It-Forward to that member. This is not try to contact them for a trade or ask for anything back, just to give them a hand with their collection. I know that many times I end up with multiples from my returns and there are other members here who might like to have one as it fits into their collection. I would suggest giving them a PM to ask for their address and just let them know it is for Pay-It-Forward. I selected a few members for a couple small items and they will go out on Saturday. I would love to see members who get a Pay-It-Forward to post up what they get or even better if you do scan photos to post them on this thread. This is a way for members of the autograph community to really step up and help each other. I hope that many of you jump on this for just one other member of the autograph community. I would be sure to place a small note saying what your SCF name is and you are from SCF, so the receiving member is not confused thinking they just got a TTM in! Thanks for all that you do for each other in helping build our collections and making the SCF autograph community the best period!

Great idea! Unlike others, I've been unable to get Doug McDermott via TTM so if anyone could help me out that would mean a lot to me.

Hi, Years ago, I got a Peyton Manning auto back. But this year when I went to go look at it, it was gone. I have no idea if it was stolen or was vacuumed up or anything else, but I literally tore my house apart looking for it but did not find it.
It was my prized possession and now it is gone. I have tried sending to him again, but received both back unsigned. It was my favorite piece in my collection and I really want to replace it. If anyone could help me out I would be so thankful!!

I remember when I was married that I had an autograph collection exceeding 8000 signed items. My then wife wasn't particularly fond of money being spent on anything but her. So, one day I was at work and she sold my collection and pocketed the money. All the years I put into my collection gone in one afternoon. I haven't really dabbled in the hobby since.
