hello people..is it just me or since donruss has gone from baseball it's getting really fricken boring!!!!!!! the last couple of weeks i have been fighting with myself to just sell what i have and quit the hobby...think about it ..when dp was in the game it forced other companys to be more competitive!!!! why?? beacuse dp's card lines were fricken awesome for the most part...now that they are gone it let's the other companys breath a little..choke you ™™™™™™™s choke!!!! just kidding...but it's treu since there demise it has simply sucked...say what you want but i think there is a lot of people out there that share the same feelings i do...i know it's old news but it's just reminds me what we missed everytime topps put's out another bonehead product...i am sick of ebay to..hell i am sick of it all spending money to get crap..then if i want a card from someone it's like pulling teeth to buy it from them..thay want 80% book for pete sake..just the more reason for me to get out..anyway if i do you will see a nice add on the forum of my stuff for sale and not for 100% bv like some others on here do...the only brite spot lately is this site..i truely enjoyed it....:icon_roll

i gotta agree on the fact that Donruss not being around does stink, their line of cards are awesome and i hope someday they do come back.

I gotcha on the new product. It's really evident with UD and Hockey..They're killing the collectors, sad thing is it's going to get worse with their last 5-6 releases, imhoo. Plus next year no Crosby & crew rc mania!

But good Lord there's like 800+ releases, not counting inserts.. from 2000/01 to choose from that's were my moneys going, finishing(or starting) some past issues.

Actually, this is giving me a chance to give all the other releases a fair look.

Good Luck with whatever route you choose, but collecting/sports is in your blood it's hard to quit!!

your right it is hard to quit!!!!!!!!!! i have done it oooohhhh about 10 times now and always came back..the worst is when i am in the supermarket and io go by the magazine isle and see the becketts..i start looking at them and well you know the rest lol..........

im just getting sick of every realease at over 100 bucks a box.... i liked the sets like prestige where i can hit my stuff for 65-70 bucks.. not 112 a box on co signers or that other set called triple threads... although one nice thing is cards have started selling a bit better on the bay in the last couple months

what i really miss about donruss is Leaf certified materials too, i really liked that line, and at 60 to 75 dollars i could sometimes afford a box, but with a lot of recent releases i cant afford any of the nice products, if you can call them nice, but theres always buying old boxes to get fix

Congradultations on wuiting haha ive tried so many times but i always get sucked in when i go shopping and see the O so fermiluar look of a box of cards haha

i think this will almost seal my fate!!!!!!!!!!!! i just posted a thread in the box breaks section ....i opened three cosigners today and got some decent and most crap..anyway an example of my hatred for topps..i pulled two jason botts rookie auto's..and one just sold for .....are you ready???????????this is with an auto mind you..drum roll please.......... .99 cents..WOW!!!!!!!!!1 thanks again topps for the awesome value you put into packs..a little reminder though ...YOUR SUPPOSED TO BE GETTING BETTER NO WORSE MORONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey guys ??? imagine if donruss put out the triple threads?? wow the cards would be unreal!!!!!!!!!!! just imagine the 4clr patch/auto's..a piece of mantle patch and cut auto....not saying they don't look nice now..but if dp did it they would be worth even more i think.............rip donruss!!!!!!!!!!!
