Order from ABD Cards?
I'm thinking of making an order from abdcards.com and wonder if there's someone else here that have made it.
As you have to give out your credit cards information so they can charge you I would like to know more about them. Their website isn't especially updated and it seems like you have to fax in your credit cards information...

Faxing credit card info ANYWHERE is a risky business. You don't know who will have access to it, a fax machine is not secure. If that's the only way they take payment, find another seller. I've never heard of them, just looked at the site. They are not set up for paypal either, despite saying they've been in business since 1981. Maybe others from here who have ordered from them will reply.

I've ordered from them before but it was a while ago (2007). I just happen to live in Calgary where they are based so I was able to stop by their place and paid cash for some vintage wax packs. The couple that own the company are super nice and the company is totally legit. They used to have a store in Winnipeg and then Calgary (late 90's early 2000's) but now they just run the business out of their home. I've also seen them at the rare card shows we get in Calgary. I'd e-mail them to confirm what you want to order and then maybe give them your credit card over the phone if you do place an order with them.

I've ordered from Dale several times (the last time about a year ago) and can confirm what jogesc2 said... great guy and completely legit business. I haven't dealt with his wife but I've chatted with him on the phone for a few hours about the Oilers, his team-the Jets and hockey in general. I live in Edmonton so couldn't pay in person but never had any problems with CC info being misused, etc. Definitely send him an email letting him know what you want so that he can confirm he has it in stock and then give him a call with your CC info.

Thanks to all three for your answers. I've decided to place an order and I will phone it in to Dale, even if it's a bit impractical. :)
