I lived in two Maryland and Georgia and worked in a 3rd Virginia.

Georgia? No thanks. I lived in Florida for over 2 years and that was a task. Anytime I spent in Georgia was doubly as hard. The place is sweltering and repressive, nearly everywhere.
I am surprised that there are not more Southern States on this list, but then again, you have to have been somewhere else to want to go somewhere else, that's why it surprises me that Georgia is on this list. People's Republic of Maryland was #3. I bet if the poll was limited to Western MD it would have been 60-70% that would want to move.

If you can handle the cold come to Iowa or Minnesota. Des Moines and the Twin Cities are great towns to raise families!
