What are these cards exactly ?
Hey,
So I haven't been on this forum for more than 2 years, and I recently got back into collecting hockey cards (mostly Jaroslav Halak). I came upon a bunch of «Proof Cards» on Ebay of him (see link : http://www.ebay.ca/itm/11-12-THE-CUP...181e590&_uhb=1).
What are these exactly ? Are they really 1/1, and are they worth anything ?

They are essentially sheet-cuts, and they're worth whatever you're willing to pay for them I guess hahaha. If you're a player collector then it's neat to have a couple of them.
And sometimes you get lucky and can meet a player for an auto...........

It'll never be a true 1/1 but I can pretty much guarantee I'm the only guy on earth who owns one :)

They're from uncut sheets that UD makes available as a redemption card in the product. People get them cut up and they sell them as these "proof cards" - not many people are interested in them as they're not being used for their originally intended purpose - i.e. as a framed unit.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...
