Team Finland Pulls Off Least Graceful Line Change In Hockey History (GIF)

Line changes in hockey really aren’t as easy as they look — just ask Team Finland. Finland squared off against the Czech Republic in their final tune-up game before the IIHF World Championships later this month, but it appears they could use a few more practices if they hope to secure a gold medal. Practices that focus on doors and climbing over walls, that is. Blackhawks prospect Teuvo Teravainen led off the hilarious sequence that resulted in three players falling flat on their faces. Teravainen tried to hop onto the bench when, much to his surprise, the door opened for him and he ended up taking a clumsy spill. Up next was former Maple Leaf Leo Komarov, who tried to step over Teravainen, but ended up tripping over his skate and falling on top of his teammate.

Thats is the first time I have seen that. Quite funny. Especially the first guy throwing his leg over and his buddy on the bench opens the door on him.

In pick-up Hockey, we used to yell at the guys coming off the ice going for the gate, that it was stuck, they would then leap or do a Leg-over, and at the last second we would open the gate, and watch them accordion themselves into a pile of rubble.

This was often after some pre-game mary jane brownies.

We were all 19 and stupid, anything for a laugh. There got to be quite a club of Mary Jane Pre-Game Brownie munchers. We would play another team, and the entire 18 guys from each team would have Pre-Game Brownies together, then go over to the Rink.

The Refs were CAHA sanctioned Refs, and didn't know that the entire squad of both teams were high. They got a bit suspicious when we kept trying to shoot the puck at the Goalies Nads and at each others heads instead of trying to play.

We would purposely put as many as 7 guys on the ice and see how long it would take them to catch us.

3 Stooges of hockey lol and I thought Finland were up and comers :P That clip is hilarious, looks like the 3rd guy who is focusing on getting in on the play clips komarov in the head with his skate and that's why he falls. Let's hope anyways :P

I gotta show this to my Finnish buddy who likes to show me links of Tuuka Rask after they demolished Detroit :P

Looks like a bunch of kids at the PeeWee age when they think they are finally big enough to go over the boards for a change instead of through the door. Classic!
