Melo to Heat
Was just reading the Big Three are considering opting out and signing on smaller contracts to allow Melo to sign with Miami.
Stunning, if this if true, Pat Riley is GM of the century. Must pull it off though.
Fingers crossed.

Then they will just need to sign Darko Milicic to complete a starting lineup of the top 2003-04 NBA draft picks

Yeah the Heat really need another lottery pick.... How many would that put them at? Would just further cripple an already bad Eastern Conf.
Then turn around and tell me Lebron is the Most Valuable Player when all these lottery pieces make his job easy.

Problem is, and GSW just proved this again, the Kings are another, so many teams aren't playing for wins. The owners just want to sit back and say I own a NBA team.
Then there's teams playing lottery picks.
So all these players that are playing just to win, see a team and when I say TEAM I mean from GM down to toilet cleaner, playing to win. That where they want to go. And there is only about eight those teams in the NBA in my opinion. And a couple of those don't allow just anyone, even a star like Melo to join, the Spurs are a great example there, not a bad thing, they just run things differently.
Melo has very little choices, let's hear Carlos, Derrick and Noah put their hands up for a pay cut and try sign Melo without losing players.
Lets hear Kobe offer to rewrite his contract to bring talent to LA.

Obviously I prefer that Anthony stays in NYC but I think Melo in Chicago is a great idea. I think he'll fit in in Houston also, but I don't know if they have the money... the rumor of him to Dallas doesn't make much sense to me- he said his goal is to win a championship...
