question for traders
So my wantlist is 1500 cards long, and my list of traders will be a few hundred cards long too... best way to display that in the trading section?

I'll suggest what I did.
Take a look at the links in my signature. The Want list I keep very up to date, but you can see the origional post is more than 4 years old. I've got a traders list too, but I'll admit.... I'm never as good at keeping that one up to date.
What I generally try and do: I've got those two old thread, and keep them updated with "master" lists. I never bump them, the threads are there to be used as links, to keep track of everything.
Then a new set I'm working on comes out.... Upper Deck Series 1.... I might make a new thread "WTTF Upper Deck Series 1" list everything I need from the set, list traders I have from the set (or other very recent products) but still mention that I have long wantlists / tradelists in my signature.
Once I'm done trading for that set, that thread gets thrown away.

As I have a extensive tradelist to the point ive been told its overwhelming and people wont spend time to look at it they say. I use a website and have a offline master tradelist that i upload in case of any web site issues or accidental deletions

Personally I use the Inventory here on the site. It allows members to sort by GU, Auto, RC, sports, team, etc. Highly recommend it!
Please check my inventory before my photobucket!!! It's more up to date!!!

SCF Inventory is the best. You can upload entire sets at a time, you can upload a photo, input book values, sort by GU'd, autos, etc. You can also make a want list. It can be a bit confusing at first but if you follow the tutorials that Luke made it is easily mastered. Follow the link in my signature to see what I am talking about.

SCF inventory is good to help make the search easy among other people who use it. I have a word document created for my want list sorted by sets at the top then other PC items at the bottom. For my traders I have an excel file sorted by type of card and tabs for specific players that I have a lot of. Both are linked if you want to look for reference.

I have catalogued ALL of my cards in one crazy Excel spreadsheet lol; so I'm not doing anything for the inventory. I kinda like what Ranford has done, but I dont exactly wanna have my thread by years old whenever I want to bump it to buy or sell or trade... hmm
First time entering the trading realm, thought it would be easier to decide hahah
