Aww man you had to go there! lol Here's my thing... you can't go and just pick an all star QB from a tree like an apple. His stats are constantly high tier. Yes, yes, he hasn't gotten us a Playoff win since 2009, but you can't pin it all on Romo. Our defense has been sub par the past 5 years, as well as our offensive line; which Jerry has made moves to improve over the past 4 years starting with Tyron Smith. His 4th quarter blunders are notorious and I have no reason to defend him on those. Jerry had a chance to take Johnny Football this year but made the right move in taking a proven lineman instead of taking a chance on a partier who may end up a traveling backup like Matt Lienart. I could go on and on about how Romo is the best choice for the Cowboys right now but I will end it on this... Brandon Weeden is our backup. He has a fresh start here and isn't in that horrible situation in Cleveland. You never know, he may learn here studying defenses and learning reads and could end up being a decent QB after Romo retires in 3 years (my prediction). Don't expect The Cowboys to have a good year this year, the schedule Gods did not do us ANY favors. As a die hard Cowboy fan I predict 7-9 for the season, and it pains me to say it. I am just now getting used to the fact that The Cowboys are, right now, a mediocre team. But if you look at the success and despair of the Cowboys by decade this decade should produce something good... and it's still got 6 more years in it. 60's=BAD, 70's=GREAT, 80's=HORRIBLE, 90's=PHENOMENAL, 00's=HORRIBLE, 10's=TBD
