    What would you do?!

My only collecting goal right now is to finally complete the ITG Enforcers Auto set which I have been slowly working on for just over a year now. I have about 3/4 of the cards now. I made a couple sales on eBay and I have about $50 PP, now do I:

Buy a box of Enforcers.....most likley hit duplicate autos..but have a small chance of hitting some of the ones I need, an even smaller chance of hitting one of the short prints (what are the odds any of them are still out there after all these years?) and also hit some of the other fun stuff from the set

    OR

Take the $50 to COMC and buy whatever Enforcer autos I can on there.

Obviously option A is more fun, but option B would pretty much finish off the set for me... just a fun little question...what would you do?

If your ultimate goal is to finish off the set, go with B. The sure thing always beats "what the heck did I do THAT for?????" yes?

I agree with Ed. I wanna open more boxes of series 2 but I'm almost done all the sets in it but itd be more fun. I'd likely just buy singles to kill the sets.

    Option C.

No need to spend money in a hurry. Cruise eBay, watch all short printed autos from the set for the next few weeks and see if you could score any for cheap. If all Fails, then Option B. Also, cruise eBay for deals on a box, which is much more fun :) I once scored a box for $35. I bought 2 boxes of something I really wanted and to save on shipping I bought some other boxes. It was cheap, it was fun and I scored some great cards (Not from my Enforcers box, though)

    Goodluck,

I really like the Option Cunnuc has. You can get good deals on boxes on ebay and I know that Enforces can be had very cheap on ebay sometimes.

Anytime you can get a SP Auto out of the way its a good step and I would also search the bay. Good Luck Either Way!

All I can suggest is patience. One thing with collecting is the thrill of the chase and nailing something for a great deal. I collect Mario and every day I search eBay and here looking for the next deal. If I want to spend money on Mario I can, but it is more fun finally getting a copy of the 1989-90 Kraft that has been avoiding me, or that rotten cheese sticker, now those were good buys this weekend!!

You can play the waiting game.... it's very true, something might come along that's an SP and you can get for cheap.

If you're trying to finish a set off, singles... and not a box... are definitely the way to go. Weather you buy them this week, or wait and buy them next month, it's still the best way to finish things off.

I guess I just needed the SCF community to talk some sense into me haha. I'll just take the cash to COMC and put a big dent in the auto checklist. As for the short prints, in my just over a year of collecting this set, I have seen maybe one or two of them pop up on eBay, for way out of my price range, we're talking $300-$800) way to much, I think I may have to complete the set without the SPs…...
