Walker066 Corey Seager is a great signer from my experiences getting him in the last yr at rancho!!

I was hoping he was going to stay in A for the All-Star Game. I just saw the rosters and I need to figure out my items!

I have tickets to Monday's night Home Run Derby and Tuesday night's All-Star game. I know there is an autograph session, so I'm hoping it's Monday and I can wrap up a majority on Monday. Besides Johnny Damon getting his number retired, it was just announced George Brett and Mike Sweeney will be in attendance on Tuesday. I have to do some research to see the odds of getting to them.

Great. I ordered photos of the top prospects and paid 2-day shipping and FedEx apparently delivered them, but I never received them. Great this just blew up my plans and I'm $80 in the hole now!! I'm so pissed right now.

Just got back from the All-Star festivities which included Home Run Derby and Hitting Challenge. The doors opened up at 4pm with autographs running from 5:15-6:15pm. I get to the ballpark about 3:45 and WOW the 2 lines had about 300-400 people waiting to get in. I saw majority of the people had bags, folders, etc. I'm like well I gotta figure out my plan. I thought about buying a team set, but knew I was going to risk not getting anyone if I waited in line. My first task was to get Carlos Correa.

So they open the doors and I can see two names to a table. I see people running past me to a long line. I get in line because I figured it was Correa. Looking ahead, I was at least 75 people behind so I thought I'd waste too much time getting him (he did 2 per people said). I then find the Seager line with about 3 people in front of me. So we waited about an hour for them to come out. So here was my haul over the next hour:

    Corey Seager- ROMLB and 8x10
    Trevor Story- ROMLB and 8x10
    Gaby Guerrero (Vlad's nephew)-ROMLB and 8x10
Jorge Alfaro- ROMLB and 8x10 (Alfaro was only guy with black pen and I had my own blue pen but didn't catch it in time, so ball is in black)
    Jesse Winker- ROMLB
    Ben Lively- ROMLB
    Joe Ross- 8x10
    Jose Peraza- 8x10
    Courtney Hawkins- 8x10

So Correa's line at no less than 50-75 people at a time, so I was thinking about getting him near the hotel later. After talking with some graphers, the police were guarding them (™™™ are this guys that big!!)

So the hitting festivities go one for the next 1.50-2 hours. I was sitting close to the California dugout and thought I'd try at the end. Well the Homerun Derby was reverse and the hitters were in center hitting towards the stands (awesome idea). So at the end of it a guy next to me and about 15 people go down to where the players will walk by. I see Correa and only the guy next to me called his name. To our delight, he signed the guy next to me, a ROMLB for me and a card to the guy on my other side. The only downside is he signed the ball with basically initials. Oh well, I still got him. Off to the All-Star game tomorrow.

Well I got home too late last night, so just posting my result. There were much less graphers there, but still a bunch. My goal was another Correa, Johnny Damon and George Brett.

I got there about 2.5 hours early to watch batting practice. To my surprise, when the California team came out about an hour later, Correa signed one per for most of the crowd. I was lucky enough to get an 8x10, so I was happy about that.

Well I wish I had more to this story, but I didn't get Damon or Brett. Damon did sign for about 10 people leaving the field, but I wasn't on that side. Brett came out for the first pitch and then basically hurried through the tunnel to never be seen again.

I knew where Damon was sitting (club box) and was hopefully he didn't leave early. I really don't know what happened to him but I stood outside before the end of the game with some other people. I stayed for about 45 mins before I aborted. I'm hoping he didn't come out after that!
